Hi Fellow BAs, I will be in New Orleans 3/24 - 3/26 for a wedding. I will be staying right across from the French Quarter on the other side of the Miss River. I would like to try some local beer and pick up some bottles. I would LOVE to try some Parish - any stores/bars around there I should seek out? I really want to try GITM. Even though I have a car, don't think the wife would appreciate me disappearing half a day to Parish which is like 150 miles away. Thanks and Cheers!!
Check out 504 Craft Beer Reserve and Steins Deli, best two shops in the city, can buy singles of anything and have great selections. 504 Craft also always has some great brews on tap (growlers). Best draft selection is Avenue Pub. The last batch of Ghost was January. Bayou Beer Garden may still have it on tap. You should easily be able to find Parish Envie and Reve bottles and draft, both are delish. Also check out local brewpubs like Courtyard, Urban South, and Second Line and NOLA.
