i will be visiting New Orleans soon for work but will have my nights free to check out some local breweries and restaurants. If there is any place I HAVE to check out please lemme know.

Also, if there is any place that has scotch eggs on their menu that would be a huge bonus for me.

Thanks in advance for any advice or info

Unfortunately from the research I've done and my previous experience with New Orleans, there isn't a ton of brewery options, as it's mostly a liquor spot.

If you have the time, travel to Abita, you get to drive across Lake Pontchontrain which is pretty cool.

Crescent City Brewhouse is a cool place and has pretty good food.

In terms of bottle shops, the best I've heard of is Stein's Market and Deli.

See this below as well. Would love to hear your opinions after you get back, as I'll be down there in October.

Check out Courtyard Brewery, their brews are solid and it's near Avenue Pub which has the best draft selection in the city. The NOLA tap room is very cool with lots of one-offs. Enjoy!

Thanks for all your input. I'll start researching those places. I've heard Steins has a good selection before. Planning to ship some stuff home while I'm there if I find anything that I cannot get where I live(Indiana). Looking forward to having some awesome creole food and good beer.

Is Ghost in the Machine easily attainable? I'll be in town for Jazz fest weekend 2. is this something I can go and get at Stein's, or Breaux mart, or at Avenue pub easily?

Ghost is not usually easy to find, sells out at stores in a day or two. But Ave Pub and a couple other places sometimes has it on tap a week or so after the release. I've hear another batch should be coming out in the next couple of weeks, so you may get lucky.

Jazz Fest being at the end of the month you may find a bottle if you are willing to look and if Parish continues with their recent release schedule
