Hello, ill be in new york for the weekend from Chicago (this will be my 5th time so im somewhat familiar with the area) just looking to see if there are any cool related beer events or tappings going on this upcoming weekend (i pretty much like most styles of beer). Dont matter if its Manhatten, Brooklyn, Queens or where ever ill take the subway anywhere. Just looking to have fun this weekend with the girlfriend maybe catch a yankees game and find some good beer bars/events. Thanks everyone.
Brewyorknewyork.com is a great site to find out about local events. Also, if you do a forum search you'll find a bunch of great info about what NYC has to offer.
LIC Beer Project and Other Half are having can releases Saturday if that's your thing. OH will have super long lines though. Some of my favorite breweries and bars with great tap lists are as follows: Queens/LIC: SingleCut, LIC Beer Project, Astoria Bier and Cheese, Crescent & Vine, Alewife Brooklyn: Torst, Browerij Lane, Double Windsor, Owl Farm, Threes Brewing Manhattan: The Jeffrey, One Mile House, Proleteriat, Augur's Well, Fool's Gold, Milk & Hops, As Is NYC There's many, many others but that's what I can think of offhand. I highly recommend As Is NYC, it's on 50th and 10th - they consistently have one of the absolute best tap lists in the city, huge variety, fair prices, good food.
