Definitely Burley Oak - if you're there next weekend, they have a five-can release that will generate a significant amount of interest. Their JREAM beers are the main draw and they also make nice hoppy beers.

Well i screwed up. I had no clue Burley Oak was right outside of Ocean City. Was just there last weekend, staying on the boardwalk :slight_frown:

I don't think it's a "must visit" but Backshore Brewing on the boardwalk was a fun place to hang out and enjoy a brew. Pick up a bag of hoop tea while you're at it.

I visited Burley Oak last week. The sours / Jream beers were tasty. I wasn't impressed with the IPAs. I thought that the IPA with Monteauka from N.Z. was the best of the bunch.

Burley Oak (have to drive), 45th Street Taphouse for craft drinking, Anthony's on 33rd for bottles. I agree with @TomFoley that Liquid Assets is another nice place to hit for bottles if you're up that way. Ocean City Brewing is decent up on 56th.

Anyone know if the Burley Oak cans will see any local distribution or if they're taproom only? I'll be in Bethany Beach next week, but not sure if I'll have a window to get over to the taproom. Thanks-

If you are referring to the cans releasing on Saturday, those are brewery-only.

If you are heading out of town on 50 towards Burley Oak the West OC Bottle Shop on the right just past the Outlets is well worth the stop.

What way are you driving down? If you are going down 95 to Rt. 1, a little out of the way, but not too bad on the DE/MD border just off 95 is State Line Liquors, probably the best beer store in MD. If you are going down 113 through DE to OC, You can stop at Mispillion River Brewing in Milford for some cans to go and in Georgetown right off 113 is 16 Mile Brewing. If you are headed down Rt. 1 through Rehoboth, hit up Atlantic Liquors and Outlet Liquors.
