Ought to be able to find Head Hunter, Columbus IPA, and White Rajah... 3 of the best IPA's in the country imo.

Great Lakes is all going to be solid, if you haven't had it before get Edmund Fitzgerald, the porter. If you like spiced beer Christmas Ale is great. All of their lagers are top notch, too.

These posts about traveling somewhere always amaze me. It's nice that some BAs try to be helpful, but---come on man! If the OP is coming from Florida and going to Canton, a map will show you the most likely route is I-77 (since he didn't tell us his route.) NE Ohio from Florida is a minimum of 14 hrs, depending on the starting point. Don't know about you, but after a 14 hr drive, I'm not making 4+ hour detours (round trip) to look for beers.

Unfortunately, Canton isn't the best beer location in Ohio. Best bet is to drive a little north to the Akron area. Thirsty Dog has a tap room if you want a growler fill (they recently made a delicious IPA that was tap only) and some of the Akron Acmes also have taps, but only about a half dozen. There are a few decent beer restaurants in the area including the Winking Lizard mentioned by Stinger800H, Primo's Deli and Geisen Haus if you like German food.

From your location, if you're still have the time & inclination for another drive, I'd say the best bet is Ohio City (Cleveland.) There's a bunch of good beer bars & brewpubs within a small radius, including Great Lakes, Market Garden, Tremont Tap Room, Happy Dog & a few others.

I agree with you regarding crazy detours, but I don't see any mention of him driving(maybe I missed it). If he is driving up, I would definitely take the extra time to hit Jackie O's.

I was wondering if anyone else got the impression that he was already here, although if he was, he never corrected anyone. Otherwise, those offerings he saw were in a grocery store in FL (or on the way), but OH seems much more likely. (Not that I know a damn thing about all those breweries and their distro.)

Also, I never saw him mention driving and if he would be taking anything back to FL, just some things new to try.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into it.
