By strange coincidence, I'm sitting in that GG and they do, in fact, have Notorious on tap.

Notorious was also on tap at Wayfinder when I dropped by for a taste earlier this evening. They aren't too far from Growler Guys. Maybe 8 blocks?

Also: The Wayfinder/Zoiglhaus collaboration Fluffer IPA, which is on tap at Wayfinder, seems to be the kind of thing that people go mad for these days: Cloudy, citrusy, not bitter, and juicy. You'll like this if this is the kind of thing you like.

What'd you think of Wayfinder? I've been real curious to check that place out.

Hoping to try some Fremont BA offerings when I'm there this weekend, but I was also wondering if there is any chance there is any BCBS (reg, variants, or rare) that could be hanging around. MN got close to zero this year and I'd like to get a bottle just to try it at least.

Their brewing setup is not quite up to speed right now, so all of their beers on tap are collaborations with other local brewers who had space in their brewing schedule. That makes it hard to say much about their brewing skills, although I did enjoy all 4 beers I sampled yesterday:
    • Saaz-All Czech Pilsner (collab w/Zoiglhaus: Soft and malty)
    • Fluffer IPA (collab w/Zoiglhaus: enjoyable, but kinda bland to me, as some NE-style IPAs can be)
    • Dip Hoppa (collab w/Gigantic: One of those IPLs that's almost indistinguishable from an IPA. I thought it was great. Zesty af.)
    • Woodshed Smoked Porter (collab w/Pints: Nice beer: softly smoky, terrific texture)
I didn't try the New Kids Pale Ale (collab w/Mt. Tabor) or the Bon Voyage Belgian Style Pale (collab w/54°40').

The place looks really nice, and has a large patio/beergarden area which will be most pleasant on less rainy days than yesterday. I didn't try the food, but some friends had good things to say about it.

vurt says: Go check 'em out. If you don't like their beers, you're still in one of Portland's best areas for beer (SE Industrial neighborhood).

Visiting Portland from Austin TX Dec 7-11. I love this thread and will be using it as a guide. I am curious if there are any specific releases or seasonal offerings that I should be on the look out for during the days I will be there. Cheers.

Variants? Probably not. However, you might get lucky in terms of finding the regular bottling. Arch Bridge still had a fair number of bottles when I left there on Friday, and their online bottle list still shows it as available. They may have bottles of Bbomb as well, and maybe still some KDS as well.

    Good luck.

went to Wayfinder last wednesday. I was really impressed. Good food, clean, nice atmosphere and prompt service. lots of wood on the interior. not sure how much they spent on the design of the place but it had to have been a pretty penny

Taplist was solid and was a mix of their own collaborations and about 10 guest taps.

Nice outdoor deck area with a fire pit as well.

Hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere here, but apparently Rogue is shutting down the Green Dragon, and rebranding it as a Rogue outpost. Shrug. Just thought I'd mention it, didn't seem worth its own thread.

All that means for me is I'll be even less likely to go there. Never have I experienced more consistently rude/dismissive/aloof service than I have at Rogue establishments.

Will miss all their guest taps, but at least they're keeping 19 taps dedicated to independent breweries. Props to them for not selling ABI crap.

Well, wouldn't those be "guest" taps? #splitting hairs.

I overheard the clerk at Belmont Station tell a lady her best bet for finding bcbs was probably Whole Foods. Could be he's just tired of the question and wanted her to go away but it might be worth a try if you're staying near one.

Anyone try a bottle of Matt 2016 yet? The 2013 bottling is my favorite beer ever, I'm worried that this year's will lack carb and fail to live up...
