RIP your wallet good sir. If you are visiting next week I recommend hitting up the alesmith BA viet speedway sale on BPT (link and thread posted somewhere on here). Bottle pickups are on 11/15 if you are here that long. If anything, it makes for fantastic trade bait for you..especially being up in Canadia land where I hear beer and liquor prices are obscene.

Appreciate the comprehensive guide. Will be out there the 28th and 29th of December and this is a HUGE help. Cheers!

This thread is awesome. Okay, here's my deal. Like HomeBrewed, I'll be out there from Minnesota in December (11th-14th in my case). I'll be staying at an AirB&B near Kate Sessions Park. We will probably rent a car. My wife has consented to visit ONE brewery while we're out there. Which one should it be? I want to try beer I can't get in MN (like Stone, Green Flash, Ballast Point), but if they have cool draft only stuff, they're not off the list. I'm thinking Societe or AleSmith, but I'm totally open to suggestions!

I just came back from their pub, HFS and Super IPA on tap and the poutine was fantastic, as per usual. Large crowd of Chargers fans too, so watching the game was that much better. Yeah you can get usual sportsball fans anywhere, but the beer and food is tough to beat. Poutine only on sundays though.

I was down in SD earlier; I'm coming back for Christmas. Has anything cool/great opened up in the last 4 months that I should know about?

Fall Brewing. Toro's expansion (not that it means more beer) And there is a minute chance Rip Current North Park will be open by then.

I was really hoping they would spend the money on a canning line so I could get more of that hazelnut porter, ah well.

Thank you for this thread. We're SD bound next week and it's pretty great. Just checked address and turns out we're staying 0.1 miles from Modern Times. Blazing jackpot

That's a great tasting room to check out and you'll be close to Les Girls if you drink too much....

In the sense that they're brewing transcendent beer that will garner hype, no. In the sense that they're brewing well-executed beer across the board, have a solid guest taplist, good food, and a very nice facility, absolutely.
