    Hey guys,

I'm at the FireSky in Scotsdale for the next two days and I'm trying to figure out what bars I should hit up? Looking for the best local craft beer selection with a cool staff that can really introduce us to the local beer scene.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I'd suggest heading to Craft 64 on Main Street...it's only a few minutes from where you're staying. They have over 30 taps of nothing but AZ beers (http://phoenix.taphunter.com/location/Craft-64). Look for the English guy, James, flitting around the room and he'll be happy to talk beer with you. And the pizza is phenomenal. You're also not far from Papago Brewing which is one of the premier craft beer bars in the area.

Craft 64 is all local but other than James and his wife the staff seems pretty clueless. fate has good beer and a couple of guest taps and good staff. Papago has the most variety and good staff. All have good pizza but all are slightly different style wise so it boils down to personal preference. If $ is a concern go to Fate or Papago.

I went to Fate brewing on a recommendation when visiting Phoenix and was not disappointed. Good beer, good pizza. The noise level was significant inside. They have limited outside seating. We enjoyed it.

Definitely go to Fate and Papago. If you're going to Fate, might as well also check out Scottsdale Beer Co. which is just down the street. They have some pretty good beers (with around 5 guest taps). Haven't been disappointed by them.
