As long as they’re still open and you’re able to go out, support your local brewery. Buy a crowler. Buy a six pack. Buy some bottles. Maybe a shirt and a gift card for the future.

And tip a little extra too, while you're at it.

And, well, we just got locked down.

    Shit.

I am extremely fortunate, in that I will likely be able to stay in my domicile, even though both of my main gigs are shut down. Plenty of my coworkers, especially the single parents, are really gonna be hurting.

Thank all of y'all for supporting your locals as best you can.

Update time. I'm guessing this will be very fluid. We can make assumptions that everyone is doing this, but I'm only posting news from official sources (ie. IG and FB accounts, webpages, etc.).

Fremont - Mercantile open for packaged beer to go. Crowlers.
Reubens - Beer to go, they're working on an online ordering platform and then you'll be able to pick it up at the brewery. I'll post a direct link when it's live.
Flying Bike - They're also working on online ordering of crowlers and bottles.
    Hellbent - Beer to go.
Mirage - Michael is working on porch drop delivery of beer. Nothing set up yet but he's working on it.
Figurehead - They're doing delivery of beer to the neighborhoods surrounding Magnolia: https://www.figureheadbrewingcompany.com/beer-delivery
Urban Family - Crowlers, cans and bottles to go at the brewery.
The Good Society - Crowlers to go.
Holy Mountain - Crowlers and bottles to go. No clue if they'll do fills of stuff that is normally taproom only, but seeing how no one can drink on site I'm guessing they will.
Georgetown - Growlers and cans to go.
Lantern - Growlers and bottles to go.
Best of Hands - Crowlers. Cans and bottles to go.

    Slowboat Taven is closed.
The Masonry is closed. Both locations. They're considering opening for pizza takeout but nothing in the immediate future.
    Bottleworks to go only.
Chucks to go only. Crowlers. And crappy beer brats to go.
Hill City Bottle Shop - Coffee and packaged beer to go.
Beer Junction - Crowlers. Packaged beer to go.
Delancey - Pizza to go every evening. Growler fills of beers to go for 40% off.
Burien Press - Coffee and beer to go. If you're in South King County these guys have a really impressive selection of stuff. I bet you never thought you'd find Great Notion cans in Burien, but there you go.

Ravenna Brewing - Crowlers and growlers to go.

Right on. I was hoping that was going to be their plan.

I was in there the week before this all went down. They were absolutely packed. I hope they can survive this.

    From Populuxe's Twitter:
Guys we're open 4-6 right now for to-go growlers. We can also do kegs in half and sixth barrel sizes if you're interested. Corney fills for you home Brewers. You can even order beer on-line for pick-up and to minimize your time spent out in the world.

To Our Valued Patrons and Purveyors,

Like many forms of human expression, a business represents the embodiment of an individual's (or collective) dream shared with a community. A business provides a service, provides an experience, and above all provides memories. As an expression of one or more people, it easy for customers to feel an intimacy not just with the business but those who navigate it along currents of time. It is for this reason that we not only recognize a business’s birth, continued progress but also its regrettable demise.

Today, during a time when community is important, the Toronado, is shutting down. With an uncertain future do to the COVID-19 out brake. As cliche as this will sound, this decision was not an easy one for us to make. As of this post, we have locked our doors forever.

Some of you will feel disappointed by this decision. While it will be a shock to many more. But what we do not want is any of you to feel ashamed or that you let the Toronado or the Bonney’s dream of owning a business down.

To those who visited us during these nearly six years, Lynn and I thank every one of you. You supported Matt and Lynn during the slow parts of each year and the most vigorous ones as well. Whether it was a pint, a plate of bacon, or just for a short conversation, we appreciated you taking the time to stop in and support us.

A special thanks also goes out to those who supplied us with fresh-baked bread, high quality produce and meat. In addition, we want to thank the countless breweries, brewers, distilleries, distillers, wineries, vintners, cideries, and cider makers for sharing their dreams of inspiring guests with every sip.

We would like to also thank each and every industry employee who supported the Tornonado by hosting brewery nights, brewery dinners, or by inviting us to collaborate on something unique. Whether we see you on the street or during the next collaboration at a distant address, know that you are family and will be in our thoughts, hearts and memories.

We are always a positive family and conclusion of Toronado and Matt's dream does not stop with the turn of a key. In the coming months and years, Lynn and I have been collaborating with breweries which Matt Bonney was fond of, creating a series of beers called "The Book of Bonney". Starting with Urban Family, we invite you to lookout for Chapter 1 in this ongoing series of collaborations.

Until then, I ask that you continue Matt, Lynn, and Phil’s dream of supporting the community by visiting your nearest small business and keep us in your thoughts.

From your loving and caring staff,

    Toronado Seattle

Kinda figured this was coming ever since Matt passed away. Really sad.

The Toronado San Diego location is permanently closing as well. Is San Francisco next?
