Parks Pharmacy in Green Lake. No clue about price.

Not trying to keep it a secret. I have enough bottles and I'm sure they'd love your business.

I saw some Coffee KDS yesterday at Central Market in Shoreline. They also had a few bottles of Brew 1000 left.

Excellent. I plan to be up that way this coming week. Believe I might need to do some shopping.

Just got back from a week in Seattle and, while I enjoyed Seattle tremendously, Engine House #9 was the real surprise of the trip for me. If you've got more than a few days in the area, think it's well worth the drive to Tacoma.

Hey y'all. What are the chances of me finding Brew 1000 and B-Bomb during the week between Christmas and New Year?

Bbomb will be everywhere. Brew 1000 might be really hard to find.

November 26th is Thanksgiving, so everything will be closed. Bbomb comes out on the 27th, as does some other beer I think.

When I was a lot younger I went up to Victoria with my parents. Unbeknownst to anyone, it was Canadian Thanksgiving. Nothing was open for dinner around 5 PM.

Except one place. Straight up 'A Christmas Story'. My first meal in Canada was Orange Chicken. Did not check if they had duck. And no one serenaded us........

Aware of what happens on the 27th :grinning: - but really nothing at all open on the 26th? I know it's Thanksgiving, but even up here a few bars/breweries are open on holidays.

Beer Junction in West Seattle was open on Thanksgiving for some limited hours last year. Seems like it was 10 to 3 or something like that? They might be open again this year. Great place to find some local stuff on tap and in bottles/cans. They do growlers and crowlers as well.

Also, The Westy in West Seattle is likely open as well. Great food and a strong usually very local tap list. Really cool place to hang out for a while. It's actually become one of my favorite beer spots. There is also a small bottle shop next door but no idea if they will be open.

If anybody's in town today, naked city is having their release of Bing, cherry Christmas ale, tonight. Along with the lighting of lights and a visit from Beer Santa himself!

Yes, this was my excuse to bump the thread.

Hopefully I'll do better with Beer Santa this year than last year. Apparently I was a VERY bad boy last year, and so Beer Santa left a 6 pack of bud lite in my stocking.

This might be a slightly off topic, but I am moving to Seattle from Chicago in the summer. Do any of the local breweries have reserve society memberships worth buying?

Not that I'm aware of. And, thankfully so. You'll just walk into whatever brewery on random day, and there'll be a release of something. No lines, no hype, no handtrucks.

Reuben's has one, but sign ups won't be open again until next Fall. It only gives you one exclusive beer and then dibs on their special releases that everyone has access to.

Does anyone know if Urban Family's club still exists, or did it crash and burn?

It's really nice that we don't have them out here for the most part.

Thanks for the info guys! I wasn't sure what to expect in Seattle. The Chicago beer scene is infamously competitive and I don't have time to chase around beer. I'm excited though to have easy access to fremont, holy mountain, logsdon and I'm sure a slew of other new choices.

As an individual who moved from Chicago to Seattle a couple years ago (and subsequently back to Chicago in the interim before an inevitable move back to Seattle next year) you should find the 'scene' a refreshing change of pace with regard to everything not Bourbon County related.

One caveat though- I did hear recently that Holy Mountain(!?) had a line that was pretty deep for one of their recent releases, which blows my mind, and is hopefully not a harbinger for how the scene is changing for the worse...
