If I can hit one or two breweries during my quick stay in Seattle and I'm looking for the best local SOURS and STOUTS (non-bourbon barrel) on tap, where do I go?

If you're looking for sours, I'd suggest The Masonry, just north of Seattle Center, 20 Roy Street, at the foot of Queen Anne Hill. Their taplist is heavy on the sours and wild ales, usually from local breweries. They will have some Holy Mountain, some E9 from Tacoma, and some others. The last time I was in there, they probably had a dozen sours on tap.

The new Masonry location in Fremont would be the one to visit right now. Their bottle list is unreal.

Didn’t make it out of Bellevue tonight but the Skookem Saga Continous IPA is pretty tasty at the Pumphouse.

Dropped $12 including tip on a pour of Monkish DIPA there, so heads up.

masonry draft pours have always been at the high end, but where else are you getting monkish on tap in seattle? Similar story for some of their bottles (which are generally actually pretty reasonably priced imo).

You're not and I know they're paying for the shipping and logistics, but I can still voice my opinion. And I still paid it in the end.

All right, people. I’m gonna be updating this thread sometime in the next few days.

What’s missing and/or needs to go (cuz it’s closed, etc.)? I’m particularly thinking of restaurants since there’s no way I can get to them all nor keep up on recommendations.

And don’t worry, I’ll add Slow Boat Tavern. Geez.

They come off a little pretentious but when I've been to No Anchor, they've had a small but excellent taplist.

Maybe do a "fine dining with beer" section? The Canlis discussion made me think of it. Alturra, Salare and Art of the Table all have good offerings.

What about a section of "New Seattle Breweries"? I've seen that for other regions in the past. Mirage has hit the ground running and Floodland should have stuff available in January.
