Obviously Seattle needs their own version of Baileys.

Sure but as a destination for a visitor with limited time on their hands? I doubt many of us would put it on a list of top ten beer bars ... probably not even top 15-20.

Love collins. But if that's our baileys, we have lost the war

Yeah, we lost the downtown beer war. Oh well. I rarely ever go downtown so I don't mind.

No shame in losing anything beer related to Portland. It's like being the second best basketball player all time behind Jordan.

Are they allowed to sell glassware in liquor stores in Washington? I want to get more glassware when I visit.

You can find glassware for purchase at breweries, bottle shops, grocery stores, etc.

Now I'm curious, are there places that have a rule prohibiting this? What's the thought process behind it?

Here in the dark ages (Oklahoma) it's illegal to sell glassware at a liquor store unless it's prepackaged with the beer, ie: those Duvel sets that get put out pretty often.

Bottleworks has the odd Allagash bottle from time to time. Otherwise, no longer in WA.

Was in town for work last week and was able to hit the Pine Box, Bottleworks and Toronado. I would highly recommend any of them to any visitor.

Will be in the Seattle area in about two weeks, so thanks for this thread. Sounds like there are a bunch of great gastropubs, bars, and beer stores in the area... I won't be able to go to as many as I'd probably like, but looking forward to it anyway.

    Enjoying Noble Fir / Sixgill:
1# Sit at the bar, never sit at a table.
2# These are "date" bars; don't go during "date" business hours.
