I just walked in the door with 8 Abrasives, will be in Three Floyds territory tomorrow, and might be able to get more Hopslam, and I'm wondering if its worth packing some beer for my trip to San Francisco next week. I'm staying in SOMA and will be at City Beer at least once. Will there be a demand for this stuff?

I travel frequently and at least 50% of the time I travel with beer. However, I always set up the trades (or even a tasting) in advance. I"ve posted on the ISO:FT site here on BA and indicate that I'll be in a given area and can bring X breweries x type of beer, is anyone interested in an IP ("in person") trade.

I've met some nice people; I've ended up with tasting groups all over the country and I usually come home with some cool bottles/cans/growlers.

I've tried posting that I was "bringing beer" to x city, and call me or beer mail me or e-mail me if interested. It worked only a few times; so few that I stopped doing it long ago as I found myself bringing my own beer back with me, in addition to new acquisitions.

So, I suspect that there will be interest in the stuff you can bring. But, you must set it up in advance. JMO

What Greg said above ^ . The last thing you want is to bring Surly or FFF back home with you (luggage space is precious), so line up the trade 1st.

I'll trade you something for your abrasives and can meet in soma. Shoot me a private message with stuff you're looking for.
