I'm going to be in Malmo, Stockholm, and Helsingbord in a couple weeks and wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations on beer to buy at the systembolaget. Looking for things people buy regularly or just things I can't find elsewhere by a Swedish brewery or what not. Thanks!
You can use www.systembolaget.se unfortunatley the page is only in swedish but maybe you can figure out how to use the search function. In Malmö I recommend you to visit Malmö Brygghus. Its a brewpub with some good stuff. When do you arrive?
Yeah I've actually been using the systembolaget website a ton. Google translate works incredibly well. I really wanted to order a case of 20 Andechs beers, but the stupid thing wouldn't let me log in to order them and now it's too late. Oh well. My main interests at the moment are Omnipollo and Brekeriet as I can get both of those in Malmo according to the website. Definitely going to try to get to Malmo Brygghus too.
It might have to be that how we use our form of social security number it´s based on what year month day your born plus some numbers, one pointing out your yender, they use on the site to confirm your age
Yeah I actually had a proper Swedish ID number but clicking on create account just reloaded the login page. Don't know if they have something setup so you can only create an account from inside Sweden or it was just broken that day, but it didn't work and now it's too late since it takes 8 business days to ship.
that site is not the most stable, people who order from the monthly releases seem to have problems when it overloads
heh, no real surprise. It's not a big deal was just disappointing as I thought I was going to be able to drink a ton of Andechs doppelbock for two weeks.
Well Brekeriet and Malmö Brygghus is the 2 best breweries in Sweden right now and Brekeriet is in the Malmö greater area. When are you in Malmö? I mean, we as a comunity can help you get the Andechs. I have no problem doing that.
I've already come and gone from Sweden but thanks for the offer of help! I got to try a bunch of Brekeriet while in Malmo and wish I had bought more as I couldn't find it in Stockholm or Helsingborg. I ended up drinking a lot of Omnipollo Nebuchadnezzar as it was the best beer I could buy elsewhere. Was a fun trip though.
