it's always super cold & often served in a chilled glass....of course, minimizes the flavor even more:stuck_out_tongue:

Your wife has good taste. The Botanist is superb dry gin (Islay).

Thank you. We've actually been to the distillery. My wife drank botanist to her hearts content and I drank Octomore. Everyone was happy.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the great recommendations. Had a great few days in the Twin Cities, enhanced all the more by the suggestions in this thread. Over the course of three days, went to the Northern Taphouse Plymouth and Woodbury spots, Rusty Bumble Bee, Tamarack taphouse, Stub and Herbs, Lake Bryant Bowl, Wild mine Taphouse, and Ansari's. Also went to Lyndale Liquors and Zips. Everything was good, but the standouts were the Plymouth Northern Taphouse, Rusty Bumblebee and Zips. Also want to give a shout out to @cheeseheadinMinneapolis for his incredible generosity with the IP trade we arranged.

Minneapolis is a fantastic beer city that just seems to get better and better every time we come out here. Already looking forward to our next visit out. Cheers!!!

Stubs, Bryant-Lake, and Zipps are all solid, quintessential spots. Way to be!

I had never heard of The Rusty Bumble Bee. Pretty nice taplist, will have to check it out next time I visit the northern suburbs.

What I liked most about the bee, was how easily they let you control your alcohol intake. I think I tried six or seven beers there and spent just over $15, trying just a couple ounces with each selection. If I really liked something I could commit to a pint (prices were pretty reasonable overall), but otherwise I could sample their diverse tap selection to my hearts content without getting too poluted or spending a whole lot of money.
