    Hello everyone!

I have searched quite a bit but didn't find exactly the answer I was looking for.

We are driving to Chicago from Cleveland this Friday and for sure want to stop at Three Floyd's. Now, we plan to stop on Friday night as we are coming through, which would be about 9pm Friday night with the time change. I expect it to be busy, yes... But what are the realistic expectations as far as getting a seat at the bar for two people? How about the to-go kiosk, how long does that usually get? Not too concerned with what they have available (I know to check the online list or call), but of course hoping for Zombie/Gumball Head if available.

I am thinking we may stop just to get stuff to go, and come back on Sunday to hopefully stop in and have a few drinks inside. Is Sunday just as much of a madhouse as Friday night? We are thinking perhaps 3-4pm we would arrive if so.

Also, we were thinking of taking some FatHeads beer with us to possibly trade either at FFF or Revolution or another Chicago brewery. We were told by our friends at FH that most breweries do trade, especially with stuff they can't get, but I have no experience with this and don't want to look like an ass. Indiana doesn't get FH distribution... And seriously right after she told us this, a kitchen worker from FFF sat at the bar with a 6-pack of zombie dust and one other six pack I couldn't see, along with a collection of bombers and traded for some FH beer. I was thinking to take a 6-pack of fresh head hunter, pale head trail ale and maybe some brew kettle white rajah. Thoughts?

    Thanks!

I think you'll find it easier to find a seat on a Friday later than a Sunday afternoon. It's not uncommon for the place to be clearing out by that hour, maybe a little later.

Yeah, I did read some of the replies in that other topic but since I had a few more I thought a new topic may have gathered up a bit more response.

Oh, I didn't know about the FH distribution... Perhaps she meant Chicago (I found some map distribution list that confirms they don't, but not sure how accurate it is). Looks like Ohio, PA and Indiana may be the only three they distribute to. I may have better luck with White Rajah since it is Ohio only.

Most people will put there name down for seats in the brewpub and then get in line for the kiosk. Both times I've been its taken about an hour to get through the kiosk line. Only problem is if they call your name for the table while you're still in kiosk line you have a choice to make

Wow. Really? I've never had to wait that long in the kiosk line. 20 mins tops. And this was on a Friday night. The longest I ever had to wait was about 30 mins before they had the kiosk and wheeled it out to your car (Saturday afternoon).

Tips? Avoid the food and stick with the beer.

    Go to 18th Street instead.

I posted this in IP forum but is anyone from Chicago going down to pick up ZD tonight or tomorrow? I am here downtown Chicago until Friday morning with no access to a car. Would really appreciate if anyone was up for a trade... maddening that it's so close yet so far.

Well... Stopped in tonight and was surprised. Walked right in to the kiosk and picked up my cases and assorted bombers without a wait. We arrived at around 10pm. Dropped off the beer at my car and got a table without a wait. Had a few beers, some delicious food (tacos and steak sandwich) and had excellent service. Our waiter Dave was awesome! Totally exceeded my expectations all around. Plan to stop back on Sunday on the the way back home depending on what is available to go... Decided on Revolution and 18th street as our other two choices this trip. Can't wait!

Also got a can of Blakkr as a "trade" for some sunshine daydream. Look forward to trying that!

We stopped at 18th on the way home. Cool place, tried all the beers they had available. Good beers but nothing that blew me away. Food was fantastic!

Agreed - I stopped by there last week on Wednesday. Got there around 5 PM. Only like 5 people in line in front of me at the Kiosk. Picked up my beer, put it away in the car. Came back and was immediately seated at the bar and had the fried chicken sandwich - good god that thing was huge and very tasty. Washed it down w/a beer sampler and then a pint of zombie dust. Very good night indeed.
