Visiting Tillamook, Summer 2017 Update

In fairness, Alesong is relatively unknown, even in the PNW, and lacks the proven track record of de Garde, which has, on at least several occasions, been named as one of the top breweries in all the land. I'm by no means suggesting Alesong isn't a great brewery (I admittedly don't know yet), I'm just sayin', by comparison, no one is clamoring for their beers.

 

They should be, but I'm fine with them being easily attainable for now.

You do know you can read their Facebook posts without having a Facebook account right? I hardly think they are to blame because you are part of the 1% who refuses to use Facebook.

 

Fwiw, I don't seem to be able to view dG's Facebook page when not logged in... on either mobile or desktop. That said, I am able to view Holy Mtn's FB page while unauthenticated. If I had to venture a guess, this has something to do w/ FB privacy settings, and how @deGardebrewing setup the brewery page. I attempted this in multiple browsers as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(Regardless, as was previously mentioned, Keepers info was posted to dG's regular ol' website, and if you're not willing to use social media, I'm not sure what else to say... signups via passenger pigeon perhaps?!)

 

yeah ive never been able to de dG facebook page without being logged in. its like its blocked or something..so I think youre right that its something on their end.

 

Anyone have any recommendations for Airbnbs near Tillamook? I stayed in Netarts last time at one I booked last minute, but I'm planning far ahead this time so wanna snag a cool one.

 

Oceanside (closest) and Pacific City/Cloverdale/Tierra del Mar. All of those should have some good ones if you're planning out far enough. Try VRBO too if you're staying more than one night.

Selection sounds totally random, and I'd love to hear how they selected people for Premier.

 

Hoping there was a bit of randomness to it -- otherwise it seems like it's just rewarding those constantly on FB and therefore the quickest draw. Seems like so far, anyway, a lot of locals were shut out and TONS of requests everywhere for proxies from out-of-state folks. Personally, I liked the last party ticket sale where they had to be made in person. Reward the locals, not the social media stalkers.

 

I was an hour late in my email and didn't get one from dG today. Bummed but the demand was probably insane. At least it saved me from a $500 day with floodland + keepers.
