Hey guys I am coming up from Indiana to Toronto in late July any suggestions on where to stop in at? I'm looking for breweries, bars, and good places to eat. Thanks for the help.

To add to my post in the thread linked by Lurkaholic, there are a couple newer breweries that have either regular, or fairly regular bottle shop hours now and should be added to the options I suggested in the earlier post.

Left Field Brewing is a little east of the downtown core. Most of what they brew is good, and their tasting area is quite nice. Fairly easy to get to on the subway with a little walking from the station.

Rainhard Brewing is out in the same general area as Junction and Indie Ale House. They make good beer and the bottle shop seems to be open regularly now.

Muddy York had their first pop-up shop at the brewery recently. They may be open again in the near future. Again, like the other two, early reviews are good.

Also, if you happen to be here on Friday the 17th of July, rumour has it that Bellwoods (Toronto's top brewery) will be releasing a limited barrel aged bottling. Bellwoods barrel aged beers are consistently among the best beers brewed not only in Toronto, but in all of the country. The great news is, when a they release these beers on Fridays, one can drop by any time after the 11 AM opening and not really suffer line-ups of any real length.

Also, BM some of the Ontario BA members if you are interested in doing IP trades. Ontario gets very little good beer from the US. I'm sure more than a few of us would be happy to set something up.

    Cheers!

    Very good suggestions, especially Bellwoods!

I would also suggest checking out Barvolo, one of the hottest craft beer bars in the city. They have tons of great brews on the menu and their house beer(s) (including cask ale) are definetly worth checking out.

The granite brewery (brew pub) is worth checking out if you are going to be in the uptown area. The food isn't great but they do have really good beer including some great cask ale. The courtyard patio (not the one out front) is great but is not accessible on Saturday nights due to wedding bookings.

    Enjoy your stay!

Grab some coffee at Crafted across the street from Bellwoods or at Pilot next to Left Field.

Having just returned from a Toronto Beercation, I second Bellwoods (Wolf Wizard) and Bar Volo (Great Lakes Thrust IPA). If you have time, I recommend Amsterdam Brewery, C'est What (Casks), Bar Hop, Town Crier, Sin & Redemption and WVRST, the latter being a beerhall with excellent taps and superb sausages (with duck fat frites.)
