I will be visiting Tucson May 15-18th is there anything I should be on the look out for that I cant get back in Indiana? Was hoping to grab a Parabola or a Abyss but not sure if they distribute. Thanks!
Both beer are distributed here but Abyss is long gone and Parabola will be out in like a week so might be gone when you get into town. If you go up to Phoenix I will have both if you want to trade.
There might be some Parabola around then still. There is some Fiftyfifty Eclipse still around, we also have Odell, AleSmith, Epic- not sure if you get any of those...
I've been to Tucson about 8 times in the last 3 years. Locals correct me if I'm wrong... There are breweries you can't get in Indiana (to my knowledge) like Nimbus, and there's one on 4th St I can't recall (might also be nimbus, or maybe it's Thundercloud). Also Gentle Ben's next to the UA campus. Frog n' Firkin has a decent tap selection and has local stuff. I'm going to butcher this, but there's also San Tan and Four Peaks brewing in/near AZ you can get in Tucson. Or it's Kiltlifter brewing, I forget. There are two Bevmos, two Trader Joes, and a Whole Foods. These places are good for looking at local stuff and what ever they get distro from (Bevmo is probably the best for out of state stuff). I've been to one of the Bevmos multiple times (on Oracle rd at the mall ) and liked the selection (I was visiting from CA though).
