Hey BC BAs - Planning on headng out to the Vancouver area this weekend ad I am wondering what the "must visit" beer places in town are. Thanks.
I'll be there this weekend from Seattle with my wife for our 6th wedding anniversary. I'll be hitting up the Alibi Room, along with Brewery Creek and Firefly Wine and Lager. I'd recommend Bin 941 for dinner, it's easily my favorite place to eat in North America. The Celebration of Light Vietnam fireworks show is on Saturday night.
St Augustine's is another good bar to visit and there's a Skytrain station a block away. There is a relatively new bar opened on Main St called Portland Craft. But Alibi Room is the best bar to visit!
We're staying at the Fairmont downtown. Aside from Alibi Room, are there are any other good beer bars that are walkable?
Within walking distance you have the Rogue Kitchen & Wet Bar and also Steamworks on Cordova Street, and actually Alibi Room is within a 20 minute walk from your hotel. Malone's Urban Drinkery on on Seymour seems to be a good place to visit, too.
Thanks. We've been going up to Vancouver for our anniversary the last six years, but we always do kinda the same thing: dinner at Bin 941, drink at Alibi Room, walk around, etc. I figured it would be fun to stop in for a late night drink somewhere near the hotel.
bier craft is a another one which can be found on commercial drive in east vancouver. as the name gives away very focused on the european style but none the less some great beverages to be had. lots of fun bars and some nice restaurants around there also
Yeah, I was in Bier Craft a few weekends back.............and when it's hot, it is really uncomfortable in there; NO A/C. Their tap & bottle list is very good though.
