I always stop at Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Touristy but great syrup, cider, and cider doughnuts. Good option if around Stowe/Waterbury.

Last I checked on their website and from the one time I was there, HF fills outside growlers (brown only?), just not the German ceramic flip top ones (which is silly considering how much money they have spent on upgrading their tap room). Maple syrup can be found almost anywhere, farms, tourist traps, supermarkets.

Just returned from Vermont. Stayed in Stowe at the Green Mountain Inn. That's becoming our new yearly trip HQ. Package store across from Pro Pig had Heady, Double Dose and SoS. Package store across the street from Piecasso in Stowe also had Heady. Most places limit to 1 4pk pp so bring your wife.

Recommend you make sure to order a Focal Banger or two while out and about at bars. You will not be disappointed.

Also there was no change in foliage last week so you may see some good color on your trip.

And the last poster was correct about the syrup. It's all good and easily found. Brought some back for family last year and they went bonkers for it. Enjoy your trip!

    Thanks everyone!

What does a 4 pack of Heady typically run? Anything else I should be chasing down beside the obvious Heady and SoS?

Sorry for another post - trying to plan this out as much as possible to optimize this trip as it's likely my one and only beercation for a long time (recently found out we are expecting our first in August!)..

I think I've dedicated thursday morning in Burlington and Saturday morning in Stowe to drive around and get as much local beer as possible (Friday making the drive from Burlington to Hill Farmstead). Any advice outside of drop locations on HeadySpotter to get HT and Lawson's? Is it possible to buy Focal Banger or Second Fidadle anywhere?

    Thanks!!

Was there in August, Focal Banger was only available at restaurants/bars for on premise consumption only. Fiddlehead has can releases on certain Saturday's, but think little to none makes it out to retail, you'd have to get it at the brewery on release day (or if lucky, the following day). Congrats on your news and have a great trip!

Congrats! We did had our first baby 6 months ago, and it changes things a lot, but you will still be able to do a lot of the things. That being said, enjoy this trip with your wife.

Focal Banger is only available on premise at bars. Second Fiddle does can releases at the brewery, but may distro to a few spots (not 100%).

Hello everyone! I'm new here. My name is Brandon and i'm a new beer enthusiast from NJ. Been getting really into the craft scene these last few months.

I know this has probably been posted a bunch of times but I need some help on a short trip to VT i'm planning.

It will be probably be next week. Goals are i'm looking for a case of Heady and as close of a case of SOS as I can get (This is for me and some buds, not tradebait lol). I'm thinking of coming Wed. and leaving Thurs. or coming Thurs. and leaving Fri. Which ever day I come i'll prob get in late morning or early afternoon. But the SOS is what's throwing me off. If I come Wednesday where can I grab SOS that afternoon? I see on Lawson's site that Burlington is Wed. delivery day. I'm gonna stay in Stowe/Waterbury I think, so I want to stay as close to there as possible. Would Love to grab like 3-4 4pks of SOS Wed. afternoon and then I'll hit up Hunger Mountain Coop Thursday morning on the way out of town for the case of Heady.

Any help with places that I can get SOS on Wed. afternoon would be helpful. Or if getting in Thurs. and leaving Friday will be easier for grabbing both let me know! Thanks for any help!

You can get Heady and SOS at Hunger Mtn Co Op on Thursday. Get there early, around 7 am and you should easily get a case of Heady. Hang around for their SOS delivery that same afternoon. If you stay in Waterbury/Stowe, check other local shops for SOS and Heady. SOS delivers to Craft Beer Cellar on Tuesdays, not sure how long it lasts......Heady gets to CBC on Weds after lunch. Waterbury Village Market gets Heady on Weds mornings. Pretty sure you'll be successful on your trip!

Thanks so much for the info guys! Yeah I know Hunger Mountain gets SOS on thurs too, but it's in the afternoon and only a one pack limit. Figured I'd try to grab the SOS on wed. then grab the Heady thurs at Hunger Mountain and I can start my long trek home early in the morning right after. But i'll def hit up those places vtcraft!

HT drops Friday mornings in Stowe, would be very easy to accumulate 1-2 cases if you have your wife with you. All the drops are in close proximity to one another. That would require you to switch around your schedule a little, but you will have a difficult time finding HT on Saturday if you keep it as is.

Just checked in Hotel Vermont - place is beautiful! About to try some focal banger at Farmhouse! I'm in heaven!

Anyone have any recommendations on how to score a case of SOS and Heady tomorrow in Burtlington?

I'm a little late, but Doc Ponds was awesome when we went 2 weekends ago. Hope you liked it, too. Really loved the fact that they had a record player for the sound system, hah! Focal Banger was plentiful, too.
