Wow what a horrible name for a brewery.

Strange FB and Twitter feeds too - seems like they're just beergeeks obsessed with Bissell Bros beer, no info on their beer at all or anything resembling a commercial operation.

They're definitely fanboys of the established NEIPA brewers in the area (they even hired Tree House's artist to do their labels), but I suppose passion is good when it comes to making beer... I've heard good things. Evidently they've poured at a few fests. I too have been trying to get a bottle of their beer with no luck. No word on anything about the business side of their operation so who knows what to expect.

I believe they are also good friends with another young brewery: Arcpoint brewing

I've been trying to figure out how to try their beer for a while now too but everytime it's asked on Instagram, I don't see a response.

As far as I know, they haven't opened shop yet. Instagram says "brewery in planning" -- located in Hull, MA.

Agreed on the horrible name, really dumb sounding

Are they trying to equate "vitamin C" with "juicy" beers? Weak

I think it's more a play on their love for surfing judging by their posts

I'm surprised the government would even allow the name "Vitamin Sea" as it seems to be promoting healthiness, or would at the very least be confusing to some. And given that some water companies are now selling vitamin water that wouldn't be a stretch. Or am I completely mistaken and this is the next step in beers, beers with vitamins added?

I'm not overly concerned about the name, especially if the beer is good.

I've had 3 of their beers and all 3 have been good. Right now they just give bottles out to a few people here and there.

As for their name I think it's because Hull is a beach town.

Hey the guy Dino who runs that is super nice. Met him in several lines and he is down to earth and genuinely loves the beers. So what if he is also a fan? Duh. Plus there are enough already dog lover, crunchy farmer Joe type themes for brew brands. Go Hull guys!

The name has to be at least partially refering to vitamin c in orange juice = orange colored juicy ipas. If you look at their logo, it's a sun over ocean waves, but the sun looks like orange wedges. Obviously hull being on the water is the other part to the name. I like their name and I've enjoyed following their instagram, though I have to admit they do repost an awful lot of Bissell Bros stuff.

Any reason you guys are kinda being rude? Pissing on someone else's lawn isn't gonna make yours greener guys. Happy brewing

Welcome vitamin sea owner. Oh lost ships.

Read the thread again. No one was shitting on the brewery. The name IS terrible. But most people in the thread were supportive and interested in trying the beer.

Also no one has spoken a word about the place for over a month. Bumping the thread now seems desperate and odd like you searched the name to defend it.

I mean what ever floats your lost ships on the vitamin sea. But you joined yesterday to comment on a necro thread so I assume you know that already.

Not trying to stir anything up, googled Vitamin Sea Brewing to see if they had a website and this thread came up third. And yeah I did just join, sorry I forgot you were never new.

I saw half interest and half fan boy name calling, just seemed a little unnecessary. Didn't mean any harm.

This guy must know what he's talking about because he is an aspirant on BA from the craft beer desert state. Really the attitude you are projecting is everything that is wrong in craft beer. I read this thread and the first thing I thought is some of these guys definitely don't socialize much, with exception of the interwebs.
If you're so concerned with how they do things or the name they chose try starting your own Brewery - it's def not easy.
These guys are great people who are very generous and just trying to make great beer, which they do I've had them all. Fan Boys maybe, but I'd say since most of the breweries you are alluding to them being fan boys of are actually their friends
