Von Trapp in Boston/Framingham/Worcester

    I'll be visiting some extended family in the Boston/Framingham/Worcester areas for the next week. I was interested in finding and drinking some Von Trapp Trosten (either in bottles or on tap). The "beer finder" map on the Von Trapp website doesn't let you see which beers might be available at a location, so I'm wondering if anyone in the area has seen it at a particular shop/bar?

    Thanks for any advice you can provide.

    I believe Trosten is seasonal and, unless I'm missing something, VT has removed the very helpful section of their website that used to outline the timeframes for their seasonal releases. It hasn't been on shelves recently (to my knowledge) but if it does happen to come on line before next week you'll probably bump into it as it's pretty well distributed down here in MA.

    It’s a winter seasonal. December is probably best bet to see it next.

    Interesting. I thought that their website used to say it was their fall seasonal (before, as @meefmoff mentioned, they took that content off the site)? It seems to be available in some areas based on posts on Untapped?

    Looks like you’re right as per check ins. I’ll let you know if at the grocery store tomorrow in bottles.

    I contacted Von Trapp and this was there response:
    "The Trösten won’t be available until mid-November throughout all New England and the surrounding states as south as Virginia.
    Right now we have Golden Helles, Bohemian Pilsner, Vienna style, Dunkel, Double IPL and there may still be Oktoberfest on tap in select areas."

    Thanks for tracking down the info. I've been waiting for their Double IPL (which is surprisingly good for not being in their wheelhouse) but haven't seen it yet. Anyone else noticed it around?
