I didn't see a thread started for them, so apologize in advance if I didn't look hard enough. http://goodvibesbeerfest.com I was curios about the Good Vibes Fest, I don't plan on going this year but maybe in the future. Seems like lots of breweries are bringing their A game, ie BAIGGCS & FO. So wondering if this is a top notch event like it seems to be and if so why isn't it talked about? Also, what is up with the $125 price tag? They have zero information on what comes along with it so I am assuming the beers are free after entry? Thanks in advance for the help!
It's the first time they are doing this and I think a lot of people have sticker shock thus it's not getting a lot of play. There is no way in hell I'm missing it though. Between Bokkeryder, Casey, Weldwerks, Horus, and BL, I'm super excited. I might even try some FL diabetes as well if I get through the shit I care about.
I might actually think about going if I still went to festivals. They certainly have an impressive lineup of breweries, but I wonder which beers they'll be bringing. Nice of a couple of them to provide a list, but 6 out of 28 isn't a lot.
At first, I thought this thread was about the music festival that The Beer Diviner is putting on in July... but no, my bad, that's a different fest called "Divine Vibes" http://www.thebeerdiviner.com/
So the list is looking great so far. Lots of whale BA stouts. What in the heck will we be getting for the pricey 125$? I hope there is a special bottle release of something bc 3 hours at that price is a lot of $$.
“what in the heck will we be getting for the pricey 125$?” “lots of whale BA stouts” Looks like you answered your own question.
Many MANY beers that can only be acquired through trading or purchasing on the secondary for FAR more than the cost of a ticket. Typically the host of a festival of this caliber foots the bill for the breweries coming, beers, shipping etc. Hence the price tag. Get what you pay for.
Agreed. I finally decided to bail on it. I don't mind paying the price tag. Hell of a beer list. I'm figuring at least a 100 I've never had. The problem is I can't enjoy that in 3 hours. Sure, I could pretend I'm at this weekends Pittsburgh Summer Beerfest and pound through all of that slop but why? I want to enjoy this. Hell, even 4 hours would have made me pull the trigger. I see where it says 3 hours isn't a "hard" stop, I guess it depends more on the beer availability. But I'm 3 hours away....
Exactly, at 3 hours it's primarily to tick these beers for most going. And there's nothing wrong with that, I'd personally just rather take my time with pretty much every beer I'd end up ticking while there.
I was watching untapped yesterday and looked like it did end up going untill around 4 or so. I'll probably go next year if it's that price again. $125 ($250 after the wife's ticket) was just too rich for my blood not knowing what to expect.
Three hours was way beyond enough time for all of us. Most people I talked to around 12:45 were all saying the same thing, “Uhhhh, I better slow down.” The event was great. Now there were only 600ish there, so 1,000 next year might be a different story, but the time was a complete non-factor. It lasted until after 4:00pm anyway.
I may fly out for this next year, lol So many good beers and I think I saw AC tapped out like 2 hours in which is a long time.
There was no line for their bees after a while. I got four pours of BA GCC and the same of Rocky Road...yes, I was super fucking drunk. Granted, next year I’m pretty certain they’ll sell out all 1,000 tickets, but adding 400 or so to the 600ish there really won’t make a huge difference, honestly. They’ll probably add a few extra breweries, too. So yes, you should fly to the middle of SW PA because the beers were worth it ha.
Wanted to also extend a thank you to all of you for your feedback on this one. Its appreciated! I may see you there next year!
