voodoo homestead grand opening thread

Around 30 or so people outside and in line. 11:30.

 

75 or so in line at 11:50.

 

How long did the barrel aged beers last? A nice surprise for me yesterday was the IPL.

 

2 live crew just kicked. They're only serving one barrel room beer per person now.

 

Well that's not good

 

Yeah I was digging the h2p yesterday as long with IPL.

 

Man what a zoo. Got the pappy then left.

 

On my 2nd grande negro voodoo papi. So good. It is a bit of a zoo tho.

 

Damn heading down soon but looks to crazy for me to even go might just head to the gym.

 

Also, for anyone going that isn't planning on valeting...all the meters are good old coin operated, quarters only. I'm too spoiled by the electronic ones in the city

 

It was packed but you were able to get everything you wanted if you were willing to wait in line and made sure to catch the attention of the guys serving the beer. Overall an awesome opening for them and a great opportunity to try the barrel room beers.

 

Does anyone know if they are selling glassware at the Homestead location?

 

Yes, they had everything but snifters available, including tekus.

I saw everything you could buy in Meadville available there including clothing, hats and their barrel aged honey and maple syrup.

 

Word. I saw one dude buy some maple syrup, everyone was like ooooiooohhhh maple syrup.

 

How is it at voodoo now? Still packed? I'm about to go grab something to eat with my gf and was thinking about heading over around 5-6 but might not if its still super busy

 

Yea I want to go over just don't want to be to crazy I am down the waterfront bc my gym is down here so I might head over but done want it to be to crazy

 

If you do stop by, go to the far end of the bar. I ran over to the end and didn't really have to wait too long in the midst of all the rush.
