It smells and tastes like maple bacon. Simply delicious.

MGM is probably the most expensive liquor store in the Twin Cites, FYI.

I thought the Voodoo version was good. YoYo's is amazing. Mojo Monkey's is fucking amazing as well.

Bought a bottle from Heritage tonight and split it. Very interesting, smells better than it tastes. Not great but not horrible. Would be a good breakfast beer.

Shit's gross. The Voodoo brand has got to be the only thing going for this beer.

Tried some at a tasting tonight, and someone described it very accurately: tastes like a sauna.

Unless they tweaked the recipe, (in the best Ralph Wiggum voice I can come up with) "This beer tastes like grandma!"

Thanks. That is exactly what came to mind when I tried it at Darkness Day.

Had my bottle on saturday. I got very, very little smoke/bacon to it. All maple. I split it with a couple guys, and it was a big hit. Gets a bit sweet towards the end, and would have liked much more smoke to it, but good stuff in general. Worth a buy if you like maple syrup in your beer.

Awwww, don't do that to me. I love maple syrup beer but like only the bare minimum of smoke, so I've avoided this one. Now...well, still avoiding. But still.

Is...is this a new thing? I lived in Rochester for over 20 years, and never once heard anyone refer to it as "Roch" or "The Roch." In fact, the only nickname I remember was Crotch-rester.

On thread-related note, I find it interesting that what was initially a "brewery only" release is now being shipped around the country, but still isn't available in Portland outside the Rogue establishments.

Only other beer I have had with any detectable maple was '09 Nemesis, and this was that x 10. Ill grab another bottle to split for fishing opener if its still around then. Pretty fun beer.

I'd have to put this beer probably in my top 5 least favorite beers of all time. I thought it was a horrendous mess. Not my cup of tea at all. Split a bomber with 2 others, we each took a sip and dumped it down the drain.

    Dear Meat,
Please stay out of my beer.

    Thanks,
    knelson

Fishing opener seems like a cruel mirage with the June weather we've been having. I'm usually still out crappie fishing ON THE ICE at the end of March.
