Looking for the best brewery tour in VT. The wife and myself are heading to VT in mid September and she's very interested in checking out an informative and interesting brewery tour. I know that some can be better than others so I'm asking for your help in letting me know which ones are a can't miss. Thanks in advanced, Scott
Magic Hat has a tour. It is more on the fun side than informational. Depending on your knowledge of the brew process this could easily be skipped. It is fun though. Long Trail has a walkway that you can self tour on.
VT breweries don't really specialize in tours. Most of the facilities are very small and more focused on putting out beer than letting people in. Larger breweries like Otter Creek, Long Trail, and Switchback are your best options. Burlington Beer Company is interesting because the brewery is open air, right next to the seating area. You can watch the process as you taste the beers (and maybe play some of their board games or Jenga).
Harpoon offers tours. Decent, get some tastings. The guides are knowledgable and will answer any questions.
