The question is: will the places that had KBS also get CBS? Found KBS at three of my usual spots when it was released, and it seemed to last for a bit.

 

I doubt it. Gas stations on Shelburne & Williston rd. got KBS. I can't imagine CBS gets the same level of placement.

Woodstock Hops N Barley has it and they are doing a Founders barrel-aged beer tasting this evening

 

At 5:30 had plenty left and also on for growler fills (32oz only). All BA Founders brews available for tasting.

Big Fatty’s Crowler Pit had just under 4 cases at 6:30.

Lebanon NH Coop had just over a case left at 7p at $21.99

 

It was at Healthy Living in South Burlington (2 pp) and Natural Provisions in Williston (1 pp).

 

Anyone know if Hunger Mountain Co-op or Waterbury CBC still had CBS as of last night?

 

Waterbury CBC had what looked to be 2-3 cases left yesterday afternoon. But I could be wrong, give em a call to check

 

What's the hype behind this brew?

Still 10 bottles or so at Natural Provisions in Williston.

 

It's a great, widely distributed beer from a brewery with a great track record making barrel aged beers. The hype makes sense.

 

Hasn't been released in five years. What hype? I just saw people posting on where to find CBS.

 

SoRo Market got it today, $23 each, no limits of which I know (only grabbed two though). Gotta love that price.

 

It used to have super high ratings, combined with a scarcity of release that left people curious and seeking it out (and usually unable to find it, as it was keg-only for the last few years). I think its peak of interest coincided with the trend point of high ABV barrel-aged sugar bombs. Funny that they're releasing it en masse now that the trends have moved on... maybe they're banking on people's interest in BCBS right now.

I got my bottle at CBC Waterbury. It'll be interesting to compare it to the drafts I've had.

 

It's a great beer and people like it.
