gonna head to VT the 7th and 8th of December. Any special releases? Or anything to keep my eye on? I know Hf Is closed and I have my lawsons and Alchemist spots. Any chance focal releases?
Also plan on pro pig and frost (spoke with a guy there he said he'd allow us to fill growlers) - very very nice guy by the way
Does anywhere do HF growler fills besides HF?
Any input or advice is appreciated

Married and happy. Although my mouth has gotten me into to trouble a few times. I may be one of the few men on the planet that have had their wife ask them to be less honest...

I dont have suggestions about what to bring back but I would suggest giving Doc Ponds in Stowe a go round if you've never been. Pro Pig is solid. Doc Ponds is the same folks as Hen of the Wood. Great, great place.

Alchemist is unfortunately probably not doing anything until the new brewery location opens, in chich case they'll more then likely sell focal. As far as I know there's nothing special going on. A trip to hill farmstead or second fiddle even is worth the drive. Other then that the typical heady/sip Safari is always a must. Hope you enjoy your trip!

If you going to be up near Burlington, you could always stop by farmhouse and have a few drinks and a good dinner. Also, if you in Waterbury to do Pro Pig, Blackback across the street has an amazing draft list and good food as well.

Good selections of Frost are availble at most Burlington area shops if you want to save a trip to the brewery. If your into porters check out Burlington Beer Company, Batista cans. Others to look for Tribute, Foley Brothers stuff, Crop, new Lawsons otter creek colab is all over the place

As far as Second Fiddle, I was at the brewery on Friday and the sign said the next release is 12/12, doubtful the current batch will last that long, but always worth giving them a call as it hands around a heck of a lot longer now that they don't announce their releases.

I've had a couple beers from Stone Corral and they were excellent. Problem with living in a touristy area is all the good stuff happens on weekends, and we work weekends.

You don't have to go with crowlers at Pro Pig as they fill most any size dark growler...can save yourself a few bucks if you have any around.

How long does the typical second fiddle release last? Hours?days?weeks? I'll be in Burlington on 12/18 but assume it will be long gone by then.

They are actually canning on the 12th, I would say a decent shot you will still find some there, it seems to last longer these days as they don't post their releases.
