Have done all the research and have a couple of lingering questions.

General question: are Allagash sours available in VT and if so, can I expect to find them at the better bottle shops with/without asking?

Here's the itinerary for March 18 and 19th...

Friday - Killington to HF (arrive 15 minutes early). Assuming low lines, can I soak it all in in ~1.5 hours?
Bite to eat at Lost Nation and then Tomlison's and/or Greentop Market for The Heady.
Head to Beverage Warehouse to see if any SoS if left (hopefully by 4:30ish).
Killington-area must-do's (please chime in): Frost Brew Works, The Farmhouse (dinner downstairs), Fiddlehead.
Can I be ok leaving out or which two are better if I have time - Queen City>Zero Gravity and/or Four Quarters (anniversary party)>Mule Bar?
Healthy Living Market and Pearl St. Bev.
Is Uber in Killington on Friday night reliable?

    Saturday (Burlington back to Killington)
Random retail that might be open around 10.
    Ideltyme
    Craft Beer Cellar>Prohibition Pig (lunch)
    Three Penny>Hunger Mountain
Foley Brothers and could go via Waitsfield to hit The Heady retail spots if we need more.

In general for Heady, I have all the retail spots by the beer producing and serving places we're stopping at on my radar. I'm hoping the more obscure places will make it possible for us to pull five cases between the two of us. We're sherpa'ing this back (along with others) for friends.

My local beers to seek out at bars...
    Focal Banger
14th Star Brewery - Tribute DIPA
    Fiddlehead - Second Fiddle
Foley Brothers Prospect, Pieces of Eight, Fair Maiden, Citrennial - hope to get these at the tap room.
    Von Trapp for German Beers
Frost Beer Works (any IPA, DIPA or APA) - hope to get these at the tap room.

I'm bringing '09 Dark Lord - hit me up if you're interested in a night cap in Williston on Friday.

    Cheers!
    Chris

Kinda confused about your itinerary, is there a typo? Are you staying in burlington or killington friday night?

so for what it's worth, I went to VT yesterday. Could have left with 2 cases max of heady. Hit Hunger Mountain, Hill Farm, Waitsfield, Warren, Waterbury. (not in that particular order).

Killington area is tricky for good beer options, but worthy kitchen in woodstock is worth the drive.

burlington area: healthy living puts heady and sip out at 5 on Friday. (bevi will be sold out by mid afternoon.) Yes we get some allagash sours you should be able to find a couple at healthy living, pearl st, city market. You can also find any frost, tribute, and foly brother stuff that is out. at These shops. Yes farmhouse is worth it be prepared for long wait (hour +) on Friday nite. fiddlehead may have some 2nd fiddle only real way to find out is call them onFriday otherwise it's just growler fills IPa and a Brett right now. focal is only in bars/ restaurant for on site consumption

Frost Beer Works is really kind of out of the way, as well as being extremely small and only worth the trip if you want shirts or swag. It's basically a shiny walk-in closet. Their beer can easily be found on draft and in bottles around Vermont.

Mule Bar and 4 Quarters are more of your fancy, whalez-ish type beer destinations though it will be mad crazy crowded for the party and a bit outside Burlington. Zero Gravity and Queen City are directly across the street from each other (super easy pub crawl!) and have a larger variety of more traditional beer styles. Citizen Cider and Switchback are also really nearby. It's really more about what you're looking for out of the experience.

I think 1.5 hours at HF may be a little optimistic depending on whether there is anything especially notable in bottles that day. Not at all impossible, but if it were me I wouldn't make any very time-dependent plans around that.

if you get there 1045 (haven't been since dec, but they were opening early quite often at that point), 90 min was very doable.

Definitely want 4 Quarters>Mule. Tribute is a mediocre beer but it's everywhere so feel free, (just don't go grabbing cases) Winooski bevy just put in a growler bar w/Pegasus system, unopened growlers allegedly stay fresh for 45 days. Currently have 4 beers from last year's Make The Cut homebrew competition so pretty unique opportunity to get something you will never see again. If you can't find the Allagash stuff at the places you listed check out some of the less popular bottle shops (802 BWS, Route 7 Liquor) stuff tends to hang around there longer than it does at the bevies/hippie grocery stores.

Scratch the homebrew stuff, that's only on through today. But who knows what they'll have next week.

Fresh Lush from Frost was at all the shops in Stowe, Waterbury last Wednesday. One of their best options.

Go to Blackback pub for a beer while in Waterbury. Across the street from Pro Pig.

I second the mention of Worthy Kitchen in Woodstock (not too far from Killington). Great food and tap list. Next door is Woodstock Hops and Barley, nice little shop with growler fills. Jake's just up the street (NH direction) also has growler fills. They usually have a MBC option. I got a fill of Another One last time I stopped.

We'll only be in Killington for a free place to stay on arrival and departure. Everything else is going to be done during Friday and Saturday.
Their site says they open at 12:00. Are you telling me I can get there as early as 10:45? Thanks!

They don't announce it anymore. I was there a few weeks ago and they had second fiddle cans that were released a week before. Your best bet is to call the brewery.

Will be driving through Vermont today on my way back from a meeting in Montreal. Will probably be passing through the waitsfield area around 3ish. Do I have any chance at scoring any heady?

fwiw, I tried to score Heady in the Stowe area this past Friday afternoon and completely struck out. We hit HF at about noon (we were staying in Killington and it took a little over 2hrs), took our time there, and then stopped in Stowe on our way to Waterbury and there was absolutely no Heady to be found after 3:30/4pm. If you're concerned about scoring a bunch of Heady, I would do that first, and then head to HF for your afternoon. In my experience, it's difficult to casually score HT or SoS over the weekend in VT. You either need to do it first thing on a Friday morning, or you're out of luck.

fwiw, if you go to HF for 11am and get out of there by 1pm, then drive to Lost Nation and get lunch, you won't be leaving LN until after 3pm, which is on the late side of things for scoring HT, especially if you're looking to get a lot.

Sounds like fun! I had dinner at the Prohibition Pig a few months back. Great food, but even better beer selection that night!
