Anybody going? What collabs are y'all looking forward to? I'll probably not be going down for the actual fest, but, who knows? I'm looking forward to the Iron Goat/Boundary Bay brew, Goat in a Boat, which will tapped up here Wednesday, and the Old Schoolhouse/Kulshan beer.

Links for the interested: official, [PDF]taplist.

I'll be there. I'm particularly looking forward to:

    Bale Breaker/Georgetown
    Cloudburst/Fremont
    Stoup/Wander
    Sumarian/Melvin

Plus the kickass food trucks. Should be a good time.

Which I, personally, find funny, being as Wutang bros don't even brew in-state yet. Wut if Structures did a collab with HF? Still WA, right?

Pretty much these, to round out the 8 samples probably also:
    Aslan Brewing/Reuben’s Brews
    Matchless Brewing/Triceratops Brewing
    Three Magnets Brewing/Skookum Brewing
    Boundary Bay Brewery/Iron Goat Brewing

    According to Melvingham's FB:
"Get Dank as F@¢k with us next weekend at Collab Fest. We will be slingin' pours of our very first Melvingham brew with Sumerian Brewing Co!"

Since they choose to speak in vagaries that are designed to, let's say, distract, and, since for an actual fact, that they are not yet brewing in the state of Washington, I am not even a littlebit surprised they chose to take this tact. Which opens up any brewrery, anywhere, to say "Hey. we're friends with a WA brewery, we count".

Eh, strokes for folks, but couldn't a homebrewer align with a hyped brewery, and be equally as legit?

Hey, excuse my pedantry (I haven't had my morning coffee yet), but people, it's "tack", not "tact".

A "tack" is a term from sailing. It means a course, or a direction. To change tack, is to change direction, to take a different angle on your course.

Tact is what people on the internet often lack, but not the denizens of the NW Forum.

Georgetown already has the Marzano IPA collab with the new Red Hook Brew Lab on for fills. Need to get some beer for camping this weekend so I'll swing by and try it.

Not the same collab brother (although it is tasty, preferred the July personally though), for the WA beer collaboration they're teaming up with Bale Breaker.

Stogies & Hops is having a tasting of Fremont beers on the same day. I might swing by there instead only because it's so close. It's a ticked affair if you want B2K or B2K Pleated. Otherwise not. Still some amazing beers available. If it's too crowded I won't bother.

Stogies & Hops was the only bottle shop to get this variant. But I heard there are still tons hanging on the racks at Nordstrom, Macy's and a handful of other haberdasheries in the area.

I have tried it only once, but thought it was very well-tailored to my tastes.

Me too. I really wish more breweries would make this BA variant, as it's a favorite of mine.

I also really wished a I lived a bit closer to Stogies and Hops, as this sounds like a very fun event.

Not sure. I've heard that they are planning to distro on the Wet Side, just not sure if they've started yet. I'm a big fan, and, happen to have some cans is the fridge, courtesy of @woemad.

Yeah I'm quite close as well, and would love to attend, but I dunno about drinking a bunch of BA Fremont beers then heading to a beer festival...

Having my my first Goat in a Boat now. Definitely #murkybro. Some citrus, and a thing I can't quite put finger on at the back.

Turns out, its got Passionfruit puree in it, that's likely the taste I couldn't place.
