I live in Seattle and I'm flying to Denver on Thursday and only checking in one small suitcase. I'd like to bring my friends some note worthy beers that aren't distributed out there. Bottle/can preferences? Currently, I have Hair of the Dog Blue Dot & Laurelwood Workhorse. Hoping to grab something Reuben's, too. Also, if you guys are familiar with Denver beers and have recommendations on what I should bring back, let me know! That would be cool. Thanks!
Snag some Bale Breaker cans. They should be in Seattle now. Maybe a bottle of Midnight Rider from Fremont? Also, get yourself some Crooked Stave bottles while in Denver.
For the Denver beers to take back, what do you like? I can turn you on to some great small CO breweries on tap at our place, and suggest cans/bottles to pick up to take home.
I think you can find Bale Breaker at Chuck's on First Hill. Check their website for other locations but last i checked there were only 2 Seattle locations listed as carrying their beer. Maybe grab a Freemont Bourbon Abominable if you can find one? And try to grab some Odell Myrcernary and Odell IPA when you are there. I dont think it is distributed to WA.
I could have sworn I saw this beer sitting on shelves at multiple places a month or so ago, including a whole row deep at the Fremont PCC. I haven't seen it on any recent beer runs.
Crooked Stave, Renegade, and Trinity Brewing are all great CO breweries that I always try and bring back when I go. Should all be easy to find at beer stores. Although Crooked Stave is easiest and best @ The Source! Bale Breaker and Fremont are great choice to take there. Perhaps some Descender IPA, and 32oz growler of Hop Venom too
Bale Breaker is all over now. Whole Foods, Chucks, 99 Bottles, Full Throttle, Bottleworks, etc. AND IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY
Awesome to hear - i havent been beer shopping in a couple weeks so I am out of the know. Thanks for the heads up! Whats the price tag on a 6er?
Oh shit, I didn't see like half of these replies after I posted this! I took them Laurelwood, Hair of the Dog, Logsdon, Reubens, and Hilliards (by request). I had a tiny suitcase so Fremont & Bale Breaker for next time! Or they can just drink it when they come visit me in the fall. I went to Crooked Stave at the Source and it was by far my favorite on my trip. Brought home a bottle of their Batch 60. Also went to Oskar Blues, Black Shirt, and River North.
