Ive havent had it yet so where would you rank it among New England breweries that make Octoberfest beers ?

It's no Berkshire, but I would rank it just above Sam Adams or Harpoon

K thanks. The store I called said they were getting it in on Friday. Harpoon and Sam Adam's O-Fests they have had for like a month now.

They're not NE, but I've been enjoying Victory's Festbier and Brooklyn's Okto also

I have been waiting to try Wachusett as well.
I have to recommend Jack's Abbey Copper Legend. Best local Oktoberfest I have had so far this season.

How in the HELL could I forget Copper Legend?! Solid German style festbier

I think it's OK as an ale - certainly not offensive, but nowhere near the classic German-made lager versions.

IMO Berkshire's Ofest is the top New England-made one. Glad to see it back this year.

Well, there aren't many other O'fests/marzens like Berkshire. That one's a pretty unique take on the style...

It's not really to style at all, unless there's a Double Marzen category. It is quite well made this year though, no matter what style it is. I've enjoyed a bunch of them.

Do you really think so? All I could taste was caramel. I'm a huge Jack's Abby fan, but I just shared a growler of Copper Legend recently and it was not for me.

I thought it had some nice honey notes and the characteristic hop-dryness that I love in the Weihenstephaner and others. I thought the Jack's had hardly any caramel compared to the Berkshire

Enjoying a Brocktoberfest from Idle Hands in Everett right now. Grab a pint if you come across one

Sounds like I'll need to keep an eye out for Berkshire and Idle Hands when I'm in MA next weekend.

I really enjoyed Moat Mountain's Octoberfest, but you can only find it in NH.

It's available in 4-packs of 16 oz cans in Maine, as are a few of their other beers. I bought one but haven't tried it yet.

I was going say the same thing. Wachusett Octoberfest is solid but no where near as good as Berkshire's IMO. I definitely like it better than Sam Adams though...

Having one now. Not to overwhelming in any sense. Can't really pick out a specific attribute that really stands out. Nice refreshing very carbonated. Tastes great. Long aftertaste of...I can't put my finger on it. Sorry to be so useles. Will buy more!
