I'm up here in Ohio but trying to get a feel for how hard it is to pick up wake and bake? Is it off the shelf? I'm really interested in trading for some but unsure what I should offer up. Thanks for the feedback.

it's off the shelf, still available in some stores, but also a great example of a coffee oatmeal stout. Worth tading for if you like the style

Where have you found it? I've been looking in the triangle and haven't found any...

Don't know much about the Triangle, but Brawley had 3 or 4 cases last time I was in, I've also got a case+ left at my store in SC

Thanks, chefkevlar. I think this conversation is relevant, as he's looking to trade for some. I might not be the best candidate for trading, but others may be willing if they know they can still find some.

Brawley still had a "bunch" as of Friday but this is not a new batch, it was some he held back to release later. Still quite yummy as I picked up a 4 pack of it two weeks ago.

Haven't seen any in the Triangle area for at least 6 weeks now ... then again, I don't go to Total Wine type stores, only the locally owned bottle shops. Just didn't see much in this area this year and what showed up seemed to fly off shelves.

I think you might have a tough time finding any more on the Triangle, either at bif TW-type stores or in bottle shops like Sams. It was released in Nov I think, and I havent seen any since late-December. Good luck, It is my favorite Coffee Stout (IMO, better than FBS), but I do thinik it is better fresher.

Peabody's has cases stacked to the ceiling..

I think its better fresh but I just picked up a 4 pack the other day and it was still very tasty.

So this might be equivalent in trade value to fbs?
Is it a once a year release, or mult releases?
How much is it a 4pack?

Wow, wish I was in Boone more often. It was like pulling teeth to get that in the Triangle.

    It's a once a year release, and 4 packs are $10-12.

...you get flower power up there? :grinning:

Thanks. I had it for the first time a couple of months ago; a friend shared a bottle he had sat on for 1-2 years. He thought it was over-aged, but I still thought it was REALLY good.

There's plenty to keep me busy until next November, though. I don't drink [often] enough, and I buy too much. I have quite a few stouts, coffee stouts, and oatmeal stouts to get through. Maybe not quite enough until November, but I'll acquire enough others to keep me busy :grinning:

Once a year release, but I've seen it in a few shops in FL.

FBS is probably equivalent, but probably also available to 95% of people with WnB. Sculpin, Cuir, and Zombie Dust would probably be about right, too. Maybe Behemoth.

I wish it was still in the triangle, but I can tell you with good certainty it won't be at regular stores in Durham, Carrboro, or Raleigh. Maybe a little wine shop or gas station somewhere.
