    Hello Fellow South-Atlantic people

I am from the Midwest but a BIG wake n Bake fan.. I just wanted to get your opinion on the 2012 batch of wake n bake and ask if you thought it was Great or a little off.. I have had wake n bake since 09.. and thought this years was really roasty and almost hoppy.. Not the creamy coffee goodness i enjoyed in 2011.. now i had 2012 only about 2 weeks old and my 2011 was prob 2 months old when i had it.. Do you think it needs a couple months of age to enjoy it or do u think its best fresh.. Thanks for any input.

    Cheers

Haha Thanks for your reply.. I also think its great but just a little more strong and tastes like drinking a black cup of coffee. When in past years i have felt it tasted like drinking a creamy cup of coffee.

I just had my first of the year and still love it. I suppose you should just give it a couple of months if you think it's too strong now.

I don't know, I like my BA stuff hot, I like my coffee stouts rich and strong. Mellowing them out kills it sometimes, I generally think fresh is best, but I can't drink fresh all the stuff I have stored.

I do think this years batch is heavier on the roasted coffee but I am loving it. Both beer and your palate change, last year I preferred FBS over W-n-B and this year it is the other way around.

This is the first year I've had it fresh and yes the coffee flavor is way more present fresh than with a few more months. I prefer a few months on it but its all personal preference.

This years is far stronger on the coffee, while fresh, it seems. Just sit on it a bit, and let it mellow out a bit. Thats what my 2nd case will get, some time to mellow.

    As good as ever, IMO.

I have gone through two 4 packs of it so far this year and have found it to be phenominal. Not really any different than years past

I've had both WnB and FBS in bottles and draft 2012. Borne phenomenal brews! My wife actually tried a sip of the WnB draft this year and didn't cringe like she usually does haha. The coffee definitely seems a bit stronger this year than 2011, but I love it, as I love my dark stouts very full flavored

Coffee is stronger, and it's not sweet.

I actually like it, and it'll be good when it ages. I had a 3 year old WnB not too long ago and it was pretty darn good too.

I like my coffee stouts to have some time on them. Both WnB and FBS get better with age in my opinion. I will be picking up some fresh ones today though and plan to do a side by side soon.
