Does anyone know if Waldo has hit Portland or Vancouver yet? I'll be in town tonight (monday) thru Thursday night from the coast (Newport).

Based on an email I received from Belmont Station, I think you're going to be out of luck. The email indicated that the Oregon release is slated for 4/20, but that they (Belmont Station) were going to be able to do a pre-release event featuring the beer on tap on 4/19.

Kegs should start shipping out today, and cases will go out next week. The distributor has been holding back on the bottles because the barcode overlaps with Citrusenensis (which they still have), and the chain stores don't like having multiple things with the same UPC.

Have they always bottled Waldo, or is that new this year? I thought it was draft only in years past.

I believe Waldo's has only been draft in the past, although there may have been some "hiiighly limited" release of 22s to select markets in years gone by. But I've never heard of or seen them, and much less 6-packs, which I'm practically certain must be a new format for this beer. I've had it twice on tap, and loved it. If uber-Imperial IPAs tend to be your thing, and you're cool with sweetness, it's well worth seeking out.

Waldos' bottles seemed to have hit Seattle today, so they must have hit Portland, unless my understanding of geography (or distributor minutiae) is mistaken...

Well it is Lagunitas, there is little rhyme or reason to their ways. We were only supposed to get draft up north, then cases showed up on Friday. Either way, should be pretty well spread soon enough, all of their One-Hitter releases have made the rounds pretty successfully (Born Yesterday, Citrusinensis).
