Just saw a blurb in the local papers buisiness section that a liquor license application has been filed for Wander Brewing here in Bellingham. Along with Aslan, this would bring us up to 5 breweries in town, with 2 more in the county. The Hairball is a pay site, so I can't link.

They should change the town's name to Brewingham .
I love and miss the place. Nowhere in the nw is quite like it.

We had some friends over for New Year's Eve, and one of them happens to know the couple starting this brewery. I decided to check BA to see if there's any mention of it here. Apparently they sold their home in Seattle to start this brewery, so it sounds like it's still in the works and they're all-in. My friend (not a huge beer person) suggested that they create a sourdough hefeweizen, so if you see that beer coming from Wander it was his idea.

I've been following them on FB, and they seem to be making good progress. I haven't swung by their location yet, but maybe I will soon.

Yup, this is true. I actually worked with Chad (the owner) for a few years and he decided to leave the consulting world to pursue his dream of opening a brewery. Huge props for having the stones to do it.

I do know he spent quite a bit of his spare time brewing over at Hilliards so this isn't his first rodeo.
