    I'm sure this has been mentioned but now that we are banning threads related to "what's the value of X beer" can we also start reporting/modding any reference to prices on the the secondary market? I know its already a rule not to post links to them but these references should have no place in a trading forum. It plays into the whole "valuing" of beers and it's kind of a put off for a lot of us.

    Cheers

    I'd agree with this. And while I can't guarantee it, I've got an idea of a recent thread that fits the bill, don't know if that's what prompted this suggestion

    It was a recent trade post so yeah-we're probably on the same page there.

    Can we get rid of trade negotiations within a ISO:FT post. I know this isn't paramount, but negotiations outside of beer mail just clutter up the forums.

    I just engaged in my first trade, things are going well, but for the life of me I can't find any place on this site where I can officially initiate a trade. I'm sure I'm missing something, but could use the help. I'm sorry if this is a lame question, but it's driving me crazy. I'm able to accept a trade, just not initiate. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    @kordic27
    Click on the persons username in their avatar, or search the person you want to trade with. Once their box pops up, go to their "trading" stats and click on it. There is a box in the upper right towards the top and to the right of their name that says "trade request".

    The pros and cons of replies in the ISO:FT forums has been discussed ad nauseam.

    Any progress on a path forward with getting people who are lagging leaving feedback to do so?

    What is "x" worth?
    - It could link to a forum specifically for discussing possible trades and value of bottles? With comments turned off now its frustrating when you get no bites on a trade but cant get any feedback (for the record the lack of trade bashing is nice) but could be super helpful for newer traders.

    Maybe a forum for the whales and a form for everyday stuff that can't be purchased in one's state.

    Value threads aren't allowed, so ...

    Not a bad idea, but it might be tricky to implement without creating more rules and moderation.

    Perhaps a rule change is in order?? But I get how that could be hard to moderate. Cheers.

    Or perhaps a separate sub-forum for "completed trade" threads. These seem to be appearing much more frequently in the "trading talk and help" sub-forum, and it would be a useful resource for those looking to research relative value before posting an ISO:FT while providing another layer of organization.

    That would work too. While I agree the trading forum comments were usually a shit show, they were also very helpful as long as you could handle a little shit.

    No idea how difficult it would be from a technical perspective, but it would be cool if when you make a trade request you also list what the trade is. Once the other person accepts the request, that automatically becomes a post in a "completed trades" thread. Maybe allow only the two people involved in the trade to respond to that thread so they can comment if anything went wrong. That could also probably help eliminate some of the bad trader issues where somebody only sends part of the trade.

    I like the limit of one post/24hr, but can we consider 1/24hr/subthread (e.g. ISO:FT, Breweriana)?
