Anyone up their beer consumption over the last couple of Summerish days? And has the weather altered your choice of beer?
Guilty of both I am having opted for a fair amount of coldish German lager and pilsner since Sunday. Those quads will just need to wait.

Had quite a nice herbed/tinkered-with pale ale today. Apparently infused with lemongrass and lime leaf. Very refreshing. I've been craving a cold hefeweizen though.

I've gone through a pump crawl at my local (Altrincham) Ale house (Market Tavern) a bit off of a mixed bag.
Went in M&S first and got some Lancashire Dark Mild Bottle conditioned and some Southwold dark Ale but wait till you hear what else I found

how long should we wait? does it have to do with an overpriced bottle of porter?

And no my consumption is nil as, while i am over the stomach bug, i have picked up a summer cold and am congested and sweating like a fat lass in a disco

I found Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout @ £4 per bottle

Nope. As a professional alcoholic my consumption remains static no matter the state of our fickle weather.....
    Currently enjoying a Boston lager.

Continuing my UK beer trend, because more seem to be showing up in my market *and* me going and buying more online, I had a Lancaster Blonde today. Not the greatest brew I've had but it fit well with the weather I'm having right now.

Lancaster blonde....it's an eclectic mix you get out your way! I've had the Red from that brewery, but you don't really see their beers around (well, I am on the wrong side of the Pennines).

Just finished a Fuller's Bengal Lancer and moved on to a Zeitgeist - mmmmm.....

I had the Red last year and I liked it more than the Blonde but...who doesn't like redheads more than blondes, eh? :grinning:

Finished off the night and celebrated finishing my last essay with a Williams Bros Cocok o' the Walk. Lovely stuff actually, I could drink a gallon of it.

Haha "cocok o' the walk" you can tell I drunk it late at night when i was tired, and on an empty stomach. I've been trying more and more Williams Bros beers and they're all surprisingly good, and I have a bottle of Good Times for tonight. I normally don't really like red beers so it was a nice surprise.

Good Times is nice - haven't had it for a while but I seem to recall that it has a floral elderflower character. Perfect given the weather we're having. It used to be available in Tesco along with 7 Giraffes, but they disappeared a while back (unfortunately). William's Bros punch above their weight when it comes to quality beer.

The Lancaster Red I thought was a bit of alright but let's not say anything about redheads the missus might be reading lol
