keep in mind that there are different temps in your fridge. If I want a beer to get really cold, I place it in the back.
Front of the fridge is warmer, in my fridge about 45°F.
Also, an excellent device to buy is a wine bottle thermometer. It is only off by 2°F. Take the bottle out of the fridge and measure the temp by placing the thermometer close to the bottle.

The Bonjour instant read is inexpensive and excellent. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias=kitchen&field-keywords=wine+bottle+thermometer

Hidden cost is in the water heater bill. My wife likes hot showers and this is one benefit for me. :grinning:

I like to take a bomber from the fridge and pour a small amount and leave the bomber out and just enjoy how the beer changes as it warms.

I go with this route too. You won't pull as many flavors initially, but it does seem to acclimate your pallet so once it does begin to warm, all the extra character starts to come forward. I also feel like you are getting two separate drinks in some cases. It adds a little more to the overall experience..
