https://www.nuvo.net/food_and_drink...cle_b9324200-762c-11e7-8ba6-977350fe81ce.html Anyone seeing any of the WarPigs releases yet in Indy? Any thoughts from those who've tried them?
Released in Indianapolis. Picked up a 6-pk of Lazurite at Kroger. Pretty good. Nothing crazy, but at $12/6-pack and fresh (Can dated 7/24) I'll take it.
It's solid. I like anything Todd does. Great nose but a little too much on the bitter side for me but worth picking up.
Thought I'd bump this one up. Foggy Geezer is available in southern Indiana. It's listed as a NE IPA. It's pretty good, but not hazy, or really what I've come to expect from the style. Very strong grapefruit. Lazurite on the other hand would probably be one of my go to beers at the price point. Keep it coming!
Foggy Geezer is clearly (see what I did there) FFF and Mikkeller trolling. Its fine but I like Lazurite a lot better.
You're saying they're trolling the style? I guess I don't get it. Foggy Geezer is very drinkable, but Lazurite is much better. I'm looking forward to what the Warpigs partnership can produce, especially if they can keep things affordable as they have so far. FFF and Mikkeller are both so good.
Looks like Salmon Pants will be the next release from War Pigs. It's a "hoppy premium lager". 5.3% ABV and 45 IBU. I'll be interested to try this too.
