The beer list has been posted. Looks good as ever. Can't wait. http://www.washingtonbeer.com/belgianfest/ Whoa! Look at all the beers Anacortes is bringing. For once Elysian won't have the most.
My most looked forward to beer fest of the year. Doesn't seem to be generating as much excitement this year for some reason. Not even sold out yet last I checked.
I was all over going to Belgianfest, but then realized that I've got family obligations on Saturday. Oh well.
The June festival is always my favorite, but this one is definitely 2nd. Not sure why it's not getting the excitement this year. It has always sold out in the past. I think the beer list is just as good as ever. Way more good Washington beer than you can ever possibly drink. Maybe it has something to do with the Seahawks playing in the big game the next day.
If you're going make sure you wear your Seahawks gear. Those who do will get 12 tokens instead of 10. It's a good thing they're all light beers.
Just confirmed that I'll be pouring for Boundary Bay first session, and drinking the second. We're bring the latest in the Galbraith Series, #3 Not Shawn's Saison, the base version and 3 variations as well. Stop by and say hi, or if during the second session, ask the folks at our both to point me out. Hope to see some of you there!
So bummed I won't be making Belgianfest this year. Have had a great time the past two years. Missed Winter Beer Fest as well. Heading up to Mt. Rainier to snowshoe with my father in law. Ya'll try Silver City Le Fat, ok?
Had a great time yesterday. Enjoyed several of Anacortes' brews, especially the Sour Doppelbock. I also enjoyed Sounds Martini Tripel, and the Fremont Sour Wheat through a randall of marionberries. I didn't get to stick around for the second session, so I didn't get to hit as many brews as I wanted, but I had a still had a great time. Next year is only 364 days away!
Had a fun time at BelgianFest again this year. Drank a lot of great beers, but surprised they only had one bathroom for all of the festival-goers. They could have used some Honey Buckets outside.
Yeah, the new location pretty much sucked. It was too dungeon like and the lack of toilets was baffling. All the great beer made up for it though.
Well, it was a bigger room, so folks had a bit space. Seemed like the bathroom was the same size as the one upstairs, where the fest was held the last couple of years. A bit more light would have been good though.
I believe both locations had the same restroom, but increasing ticket sales and keeping the restroom situation the same doesn't add up. They added Honey Buckets outside the building for the Winter Fest, but I suppose that's harder to do downtown. Just something they need to improve on for next year.
