Low bar to clear. I bet they price the beer in line with their pizza though.

Sources inform me that Structures will be reopening their OG location on State St. tomorrow (4/29). 21+ only still.

I always enjoyed that tiny space and it was great when they'd reopen it for special occasions. I did a double take the other day when I noticed that the original Reubens sign was peeled off. This explains it and I hope a new brewery moves in! There's a distillery opening a block over, so it would be great to see more activity in this area.

Correction- Wildwood Spirits' new distillery is next door to OG Reuben's.

I don’t think I can pull off a “serious inquiry“ so we might have to wait for the property records.

Considering the location was proven viable even before the surrounding breweries, etc. increased foot traffic, and the general increase in real estate from then to now, I’d say Reuben’s stands to make a very tidy return. I don’t know how much that kind of history is a factor in pricing, but the space has to be pretty attractive to any potential brewery/cidery/distillery/incubator. Can’t imagine it stays on the market for long.

I could see some techbro buying it, running it as brewery for a few years, then building a big-assed condo on the site.

I don't know anything about their beer, so this likely wouldn't interest me, but the price really isn't too exorbitant (relatively speaking). And it's a pretty area (and not too far from Rosalyn, for us Northern Exposure fans). Hmmm....

Well, if one happens to be a carnivore: https://www.owensmeats.com/ And this bakery: https://www.facebook.com/cleelumbakery/ hasn't let its oven cool down since 1909. IIRC, there's two breweries there, so it would make for a nice little leg-stretching stop for some driving a distance.

Well, it's just that Kendall has more of an overview of the event, whereas the event site is basically "just the facts maa'am". LMK if you come up again. The new Structures spot and the old one are both open now, as is El Suenito.

Probably coming up, but with family constraints probably won't have free time (unless you want to meet the kiddos for dinner somewhere at an as-yet-undecided location). We're not going to try to get back down to Renton that same night, and while we can leave the kids home alone long enough for us to go to prom, not so comfortable leaving them at home overnight 100 miles away.

So, probably bringing the kids with us, getting a hotel, and having Mother's Day brunch somewhere before heading home.

Not exactly the dream prom scenario, I know. :joy:

Wife and I didn't go to high school together, so it's a like a make-up date!
