    Hi all,

any good suggestions for downtown Washington DC to get some good beers? Even breweries that are open to have a drink would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Churchkey is a gold mine of beer. Iron Horse is ok also.

Check also the place reviews in the directory, this topic has come up often within the past week.

Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights is usually a good bet if you're looking for local-ish oddballs

Churchkey is a world class establishment; just note that it opens at 4pm on weeknights (Noon, weekends) and gets very, very, crowded. Still... it is worth any inconveniences experienced. 50 Taps. 5 Casks. 500+ Bottles.

RFD is decent also, a lot of bottled beers. As well as a decent draft menu.

Are there any good BYOBs in DC?

if you mean bring your own (which I assume) make some calls and see what they allow and what corkage fees they charge. HR-57 is a jazz club that at one point was a big BYOB place, but I think they may have since gotten their license since then. Not sure what Churchkey's policy or others is, you'll have to give places you want to visit a ring.
