Lindemanns is incredibly cheap considering it is an excellent imported beer with a complex multilayer seal and heavy-ass bottle

I'm not going to call my myth busted until someone proves otherwise with a full bottle of Lindeman's and posts a video. How many tries does he get?

Yes, his stated purpose in using the filter is to remove any debris and sediment from the wine during the decanting of the wine. While I suppose "debris" could be interpreted to include both the bits of cork already in the liquid and some tiny glass fragments too small to be seen in the video, the folks I know who've used a similar heat treatment method to make drinking glasses from glass bottles (e.g., a stone bomber) haven't mentioned any problems with glass fragments.

I can't afford to pay both your bills - I blew my paycheck at Lowe's trying to pick the best shaped screw for cork removal.

I think the best and most obvious solution is to find Chuck Norris (well, let's face it, he finds you) and then have him stare at the cork for a few seconds. The cork will cower in fear, shrink and pop out easily. Caution, if you catch a glimpse of that stare, you may need to replace your pantalones too.

I have a solution, but we have to be in a vacuum and objects be spherical.

This from Sunday so I hope you enjoyed your beer, and have already went out and bought a cork screw. Cheers
