Watched threads ... Not watched?

    After opening a thread, I click the option to "Watch Thread" and receive alerts for about a week or two, but thereafter, no longer receive alerts that other people are posting on that thread?

    Is anyone else experiencing the same issue I'm having?

    Please go to your account Preferences and let me know if any of these are checked:
    • Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
    • and receive email notifications of replies
    Then check your email spam folder.

    I just noticed that I'm able to see the new posts when going to "watched threads".

    However, I am curious as to why I was not seeing a number above the alerts to when there was another post on a watched thread... Am I correct that the alert is only created when reply is made in response to a thread/post I created?

    I don't necessarily want to receive an e-mail notification, only a number of replies on my alerts
    Is there a way for me to enable the alerts to let me know when any new posts are created to my watched threads?

    If not, I will continue using the watched threads page.

    You can adjust your Alert Preferences within your account options.

    Also, please note that Alerts expire. So if you don't log into BA on a regular basis you'll miss them.

    I experience similar issues. If I'm watching 10 threads, it's pretty normal that I'll only receive alerts on 8 of them. The other 2 will have new posts when I browse through the forum, but no alert will have appeared. This happens even when I'm logging on regularly, say every few hours.

    Further info: I'm watching Samuel Adams Utopias 10th Anniversary Batch Info in Beer Releases. I know this because when I view the thread, it says "unwatch thread" in the upper right. There were posts 4 minutes and 11 minutes ago. Yet my last alert is from 20 minutes ago.

    Not trying to be difficult, because it's not a big deal for me. Just letting you know what I'm seeing.
