Lol, essentially. I suppose the better way to phrase it, is, "should I trust there will be sufficient water for rinsing and drinking or should I bring my own?" I always bring my own snacks- they only serve food for the first 90 minutes

Only one, and ironically that was the one that prohibited carrying in water. I think it may have been sponsored by AB, actually, as maybe half the booths were their brands, and they provided free bottled water and pepsi products, including some that never made it to market (ie, peach-mango pepsi.) It was also held in a parking lot on one of the hottest days of the summer. I haven't gone back to that one.

A festival I attend every year charged for water one year. They realized it was a major error and offered free water thereafter. However, they do not allow you to bring any fluids in with you, so I have gotten in the habit of bringing an empty Nalgene with me that never raises an eyebrow.

I don't care if there is bottled water, water fountains, small cups and coolers, etc... I will bring my reusable bottle with me every time now.

Even at big festivals, I bring a backpack full of water. Dehydration scares the hell out of me, and if I'm paying that much and putting that much effort into attending a beer festival, I'm not going to risk the chance of not enjoying it... also, who wants to wait in line for water when you can be waiting for beer. At Huna day this year, I carried a backpack with about a half case of water all day... also turned me into the festival dad, but that's all good with me.

This or a pretzel necklace is a sure sign of true dorkery.

Lately I've been bringiing a refillable water bottle with me. I like to go to the fest, enjoy all the beer, but be able to still function that night.

Water was always provided at every fest I've been to. Pretty lame for a fest not to provide any...

I just eat a saltine cracker between beers. Water is over rated. Especially when hydration is the issue. When you go back to your hotel, drink a bottle of Gatorade before you go to sleep, and watch a movie.

Me too, I think if an event organizer did not offer water at a beer fest.. there would be big issues and a lot more chaos and drunken-ness in general

there's been a couple tests over the years that didn't provide water. Pretty much a standard these days

Every beer event I attended this year including fests have either had readily available kegs of water or small water bottles for free.

Maybe it's just the area I'm located in the midwest, but AB has had a presence at every beer fest I've ever been to through Shock Top, Goose or limited release versions of beers like their Project 12 series.

Before seeing the picture, I honestly thought you were referring to their beer as water (like water was a synonym for their beer). lol Either way, it's funny.
