I just had to mention, I had a couple of the Farmer's Market Series Watermelon Wit yesterday and that is one awesome beer!! If you're in the area, I'd suggest you check it out.

Did you have that either last night or today? I was there yesterday evening and I think I heard the bartender tell the new bartender taking over that BA Night Tripper and another keg had kicked. That isn't confirmed though.

I was there at 2 pm yesterday. BA Night Tripper was outstanding. Wish I had time to stay for a second glass. It was a small keg per bar tender.

Gotcha. Yeah it was probably around 5:30 that I heard the comment about it kicking.

That sucks. Only got to try the beer out of blind luck. Accidentally missed my iPhone appointment at apple so had to kill 30 minutes until the next time block. #Score

I am typing up my review notes now

I stayed for two beers and actually both were the Watermellon Wit. I really enjoyed that one!

Yeah really. And I'd CC myself on that email! Unfortunately they weren't doing growler fills of the WW. Even if they were, I don't think I'd pay $20-25 for a growler when a 21 oz glass was $5.

They only make one keg each week of the Farmers Market beers.

If the Watermelon isn't gone today, it'll be gone at some point tomorrow.

Either way, one I wish I had time to head out and grab this week.

I've heard this debate before (jegross were you sittin two stools away from me? Did you get the last fill from the night tripper keg with 90% foam?) but isn't all Night tripper barrel aged? Anyway that wit was fantastic and the bartender gave us a sample she did earlier of half watermelon wit and half Matilda blend and it was unreal!!! If its still around ask the bartender to do an experiment because it was a badass blend.

Well you and I must have been there at the same time! She gave us that blend too - it was tasty. Did you get a taste of the bottle of Juliet that she opened for everyone?

I dont think the reg. night tripper is Barrel Aged...at least not in rum/bourbon/whiskey....but i could be wrong. definitely shares some characteristics of a BA beer.

I had the Juliet too, I was sitting there with my wife at the southeast corner of the bar. A bunch of BA's 10 feet from each other....hahaha.

I was on the west side of the bar with my back to the step-down seating area. The married couple who were writing-down their contact information for the bartender were to my right.

I sat directly across from them........not to clog this forum with non beer talk but that couple from texas met like three weeks ago in a supermarket and got married like the day before. and the women was a beer lobbyist in texas that fought for jester king and against texas's shitty beer laws. Seemed like cool/crazy people.
