Making the trip up tomorrow for the Finger Lakes Wine Fest. My real concern is where are the good beer spots up there? Thanks!

If you have time go to Ithaca or Abandon

Live music (Ithaca's finest) at Two Goats and usually a euphoric crowd.

I was up there last week. There are about 60 breweries in the general area. Google finger lakes beer trail . You get a map and other info.

I thought a lot of the Finger Lake beers were weak, but def +1 to Abandon and Ithaca. Abandon was great, beer and location.

Also enjoyed Horsehead, but did not actually visit their brewery.

I advise against War Horse. That place is odd.

Roosterfish was a really good one. I actually went in without knowing it was rooster fish though and looked like an idiot when i asked what on tap was rooster fish.

Odd is being nice about it. They're pretty terrible.

It's a really a shame for the finger lakes beer scene to have as many so so breweries as it does. God forbid anyone try to do wild ales without firing the head brewer after the fact...

I was up in the Finger Lakes/Ithaca area last week and can offer some advice. These were the places I visited:

Ithaca Brewing: Really solid stuff, great food, and nice outside seating area
Climbing Bines: Hop farm that had a really tasty IPA, really damn fresh. The rest of the beers weren't anything crazy, but worth a stop if you're nearby.
Abandon: must stop, the best brewery I stopped at. Awesome stuff, and a nice small outside area with a great view.
Wagner: stopped in mainly for the winery and checked out the brewery as well. Just terrible. Flight of 6 beers was 10 bucks and each beer sucked bigtime, with the IPA being close to undrinkable. Huge, huge pass.
Two Goats: Must stop! The beers I had were really solid, with a session IPA being the winner, the roast beef sandwich was incredible, and the deck view was my favorite view of the whole trip. Just a really great place.

I also stopped at the following places that may be of interest:

The Wienery - Seneca lake. A hot dog and burger spot with a small, but really good taplist. They also have some rare, rare bottles of beer for sale, but be prepared to drop some cash. The food was amazing.
Bellwether Cidery: Really tasty dry ciders. Worth a stop if you're nearby.

Thanks guys, this helps to plan the trip a bit.

war horse is a little far so maybe skip that one. the 3 wineries there looked interesting and the lady likes wine, but we wont have any trouble finding wine.

heard about the wienery and was thinking about stopping there on the way to or from climbing bines which has a disc golf course.
