I'm heading to Wausau this weekend. I'll be grabbing some New Glarus of course. Any Recommendations retail wise. I know the usual suspects that would be there. CW Ty Founders Bells...Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Are you passing through Stevens Point on the way up? If so stop in Plover at the O'so tap room, they still had some bottles of convenient distraction for sale which is an awesome beer. Plus they have a lot of good locals on tap.
O'so is definitely worth the ~30 minute drive. 40 handles of Wisco only beers and conveniently located right off the freeway. After you can swing by the Bottle Stop in Park Ridge. My favorite bottle shop in central Wisconsin.
Trigs off of Stewart has the best selection in town, but gets hit hard for NG stuff, county market still has 4 packs of CW BBBW. Right downtown the little grocery store has a nice selection also of bombers. Red eye is the best beer in town, but if you like trad. german beers you may want to swing by Bull Falls down thomas street.
I didnt mind Great Dane Brew Pub when I was in town over the winter...good food and pretty decent beer
best taps in town in order: red eye(their beer, other "guest" ones they get can be a let down milwakuee burger company Sconni's Alehouse & Eatery(was called mickey's if you google it) great dane bulls falls(might be higher for some people, just not a fan of the style they brew)
Forgot to say you need to stop at O'so in plover, I really wish they had setup shop in Wausau. The whiskey aged dominatator was freaking amazing
